Story
Mae is a sweet girl that we rescued at 5 months old after she was surrendered to the shelter by her first owner. We presume that she was never taken out to meet new people or dogs while she was with her first owners, because she came to us very shy and unsure of everything new. Mae has come a VERY long way in the past two years while living with us. She is now much braver and more comfortable, but still needs an owner who will be patient and understanding of the time it takes her to warm up in a new environment. She is a quick learner, knows her basic commands very well, is crate trained, and walks nicely by your side on a loose leash. She loves car rides, chasing the hose in the back yard, and snuggling on the couch. She loves our other dog, and would do best in a home with another pup. We are looking for a new home for Mae because she is still very scared of loud noises. We are expecting our first baby soon, and unfortunately don't feel she'll thrive in a house with young kids.

Story
Abigail is a very sweet girl who longs for affection and attention. She initially belonged to my brother-in-law who, unfortunately, was unable to keep her when he relocated back to Florida about 4.5 years ago. Since then, Abigail has been living with my mother-in-law and her elderly black lab. Several months ago my mother-in-law had a stroke and had to be moved to an assisted living facility. We already have 3 senior dogs of our own and while we're able to take on mom's older lab, Abigail has more energy than is good for our dogs in their twilight years. Abigail needs and deserves to be with an individual or family that can give her the kind of exercise and attention that she deserves. She bonds easily but does get a little anxious when separated from her people and would probably benefit from crate training. She's very smart, knows basic commands, is housebroken, and loves to play fetch. She's not great on a leash but that's more due to lack of experience.

Story
Goose is a purebred Vizsla who loves to cuddle, run around, and be right next to you all of the time. Goose was rescued from a puppy mill, so he has some behavioral issues stemming from prior abuse. He is reactive on a leash toward other dogs, he is reactive towards males that he does not know, and he DOES have two bites on record. He is an anxious dog who becomes fearful due to past abuse, and a random times he can become aggressive. 90 percent of the time he is the best dog in the world, but we are looking for him to have a home that is willing to accomodate his behavioral issues. It is preferred that he go to a home with only one person living in the home, and definitely no kids. With the right love and support, Goose can be a wonderful dog. We are looking to start a family and we can no longer accomodate him or the behavioral problems.
