Story
Emmy is an older girl who likes to spend most of her time napping on the couch. Being a hound, she is an independent girl but loves affection too. She is a classic hound in every way; she loves food and is very persistent. She will be vocal to communicate her needs and she will follow her nose into the woods if given the opportunity. She is around 8-10 years old, and just needs someone to keep her comfortable during her last years. It absolutely kills me to have to rehome her, but my husband has died and I now have to move back to my parents with my 3 small children. I am also expecting our fourth baby in March. She is a very easy dog to take care of and get along with. My children adore her. I thought for sure I would have Emmy for the rest of her life, but this catastrophic event has left me in an impossible situation. My husband's income stopped the day he died and I cannot afford to stay in our home and I am unable to bring Emmy to my parents' home.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello y'all I'm Blitzen, like the reindeer but dog gone it, I can't fly like one. Anyhow, these nice humans taking care of me here at the Stover rescue told me I am available for adoption to a good family. That is super exciting, I can hardly believe it! When I first came here I was really hungry and a little bit scared but the nice people here at the rescue fed and loved me back to my whole self and have told me that my furever family is now waiting somewhere out there for me! I was so happy to hear about you, that you are looking for me because guess what?? I have always wanted a family of my own and wow, for you to actually be reading this, that just makes my tail wag extra fast! I was super excited to have my pictures taken for you, I really hope you like them. I smiled my bestest good boy smile!
