BASICS: Bullmastiff / female / 4 years old CHILDREN: Yes, older than 5 due to size CATS: Unknown DOGS: Male dogs over 30lbs, with slow introduction and supervision PERSONALITY: Medium energy level; Very sweet and affectionate; Enjoys taking naps in the sun or on the couch, exploring outdoors in the yard, walking the neighborhood and LOVES hanging out with people. Loves men! TRAINING: Housebroken, leash trained, knows basic obedience and how to use a dog door SPECIAL NEEDS: None VETTING: Fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped Ready to give Mae the forever home of her dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located The Bullpen Way Station & Sanctuary under the 'work with us' tab. We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.

Our son desperately wanted to get a dog and so we were able to get Zoe from a farm in the area for his 9th birthday. Zoe's father was an Anatolian Shepherd (Kangle). Her mother was also Anatolian, Great Pyrenees, and some beagle. We got her as a puppy from him. She is just under two years old now. Zoe is a very sweet dog, and though housebroken and some training has been done, she, being a Kangle, is very stubborn and independent. If she gets out and gets a wild hair, she will take off and not listen. She is not a mean or violent dog, but she is not a very good dog for kids. She has a tendency to resource guard her food or treats and is stubborn, thinking that she is above them. Because of this, and the fact that we have a lot of families that come over who bring small children, we feel like we have no choice but to rehome her. She would be great for a household with no kids and especially as a farm dog, or at a space with lots of room to run around.

Hey! My name is Loretta and if you gaze into my beautiful blue eyes long enough, you may be hypnotized!! Now, hypnosis is a cool way of embarrassing someone, however I use it to find wonderful homes for my friends .... And NOW it's my turn!!! I am the sweetest girl, my fur is so soft and fluffy...no bad hair days for me... I love all my play friends at the rescue but have my heart set on having play friends in my OWN HOME!! You will adopt me.......look into my eyes....you will fill out the application now....and...YES!!! SEE YOU SOON!! PS: I do have heartworms, but my rescue is da best! Because my treatment is already in progress:) Can't wait yo meet you! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
