Story
Remy von Remse is a very handsome 11 month old Anatolian Shepherd mix. Remy is a big, beautiful baby boy who is going to get bigger, but that only means there will be more of him to love. Part Anatolian shepherd with a large frame, he is very friendly with everyone, playful, happy, and eager to experience all that the world has to offer. A smart and active pupster, Remy will do best in a home with lots of activities and hopefully a fair amount of space to run and play with another playful dog if there happens to be another furry family member. (no small kids as he is still a big puppy). He's happy to meet dogs and is the life of the party in his playgroups, delighted to play and romp with everyone. If you want this sweet face greeting you every morning, come meet Remy! (No cats please.)
Rescued from the Victorville animal shelter.

Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
