Story
Are you looking for a unique, petite bundle of fun...look no further...this is Jessye Storm. Jessye is 5 years old and only 36 pounds. Due to her small stature and coloring we think Jessye may have some Aussie and Welsh Corgi in her. This dog is the real deal in a small package! She is crate trained, housebroken, very gentle on the leash, quiet, loves children and adults alike and she has done well with introductions to other dogs. She will let you know when she needs to go outside but she is not a fan of hot weather. Jessye will give gentle hugs and kisses and loves car rides and any adventure that you will like to take her on. Jessye is waiting for her perfect family...could that be you! Jessye had bloodwork and a dental, and is currently being treated for heartworms. Interested in becoming a forever home for Jessye Storm? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Jessye Storm. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Jessye Storm the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our normal adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Meet Eragon! Eragon is 6 months old and about 21 pounds. We are not exactly sure what Eragon is but he is "tall and lanky" so we think he may be mixed with Labrador Retriever and Border Collie. It is hard to say for sure but Eragon may be 40 to 50 pounds when fully grown. Eragon has your typically puppy energy, playful fun and adorable! He does well in a crate and could still use help with potty training and on a leash to make walks fun and exciting. Eragon has done great with other dogs and humans both big and small. Story
Meet Tiberius Riker, Ty for short. He is 4 years old and 55 lbs and looking for his forever family. Ty was originally with our rescue as a puppy and was adopted. Sometime later his adopter moved across the country with Ty (he went by a different name then) and sadly ended up with a new person in the home who was abusive and cruel to Ty for years. Thankfully his adopter reached out to return him to us and he has been in an incredible foster home, getting the time, patience, and love he needed to heal and recover. He's come leaps and bounds and is ready for the next big step in his journey. Ty is a goofy, silly, sweet, and chill guy. He LOVES going on his walk in the morning. Ty actually needs a morning walk to relieve himself. He will go in the backyard but isn’t very keen on it. He walks beautifully on a leash/harness. As a side note, a harness is required for Ty. Part of his abuse was being yanked and pulled by his neck using a lead. He’s fully crate trained and house trained. Ty isn’t the kind of dog who will play with toys or chase other dogs. He much prefers to lay next to you on the couch and watch Law and Order and Chopped. He really likes Chopped! If the couch is full, he’ll just plop down under your feet. He wants to be close to his person. He barks when he gets excited for his walk or when he wants a snack (he loves carrots and apples the best). Otherwise, he’s super quiet. He loves getting belly rubs. He tolerates being brushed. He hates having his toenails trimmed. Ty came to us experiencing TERRIBLE allergies (with awful symptoms) and it took a bit to determine he has a chicken and fish allergy. He eats a specialty food now (Zignature Kangaroo) and gets Cytopoint allergy shots and is now itch and symptom free! The ideal person/family for Ty would be someone who works from home or is home often during the day. He was kept in a crate for 10-12 hours per day in his previous life and we don’t want him to go back to that way of living. His adopter needs to be able to financially afford his specialty food and his allergy shots. Those are non-negotiable. His adopter needs to commit to taking Ty on a walk every morning. Ideally, he would go to a home with another dog to keep him company but he would be just fine as an only dog. Because of Ty’s abuse, he can’t go to a home with small children. If there are children in the home, he would need children over the age of 10, who can respect his boundaries. Tiberius deserves the absolute best home where he can be spoiled, loved and treated with gentleness and kindness. For the rest of his life. If you feel that you can give Ty the home life he deserves, you can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application
