Even though I’ve had a pretty tough go of it in my short life so far (about 7-8 mos), I am hopeful that the rest of my life will be filled with warmth, snuggles, love, tasty food – and playing! Thunder is a very sweet and snuggly cat. She is a lap cat, loves to be held, and will follow up around your home. She requires someone who is home all day because she is an anxious girl. I travel for work often so I am unable to be with her all day. She has an issue with “marking” furniture, and I believe it is due to her anxiety.

Vera was rescued from a construction site where she was all alone and in desperate need of help. She was understandably very scared when she first came to us but she's come so far to get comfortable in her foster home! Vera loves to play and can't get enough toys! She's very athletic and chases the wand toys, ball tracks and everything else she can get her paws on. Vera is accepting of pets and can be a very sweet girl after she settles in but her potential new family should know she will need some time to get comfortable. We think she would do very well in a home with other kitties to play with as she enjoys being with other cats. To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved. We are an all volunteer group and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call, adoption inquiry, or application. Belle is a friend of the family. She is a calm cat who likes to go outside and sit in the sun but not go on walks atleast not yet. I am hoping she can find a fun home where she can climb and explore. Right now my cousin is pregnant and will be taying with us and is allergic to cats so belle is in the basement where she is uncomfortable. I want to rehouse her asap. She has a brother a dog named Titus that she has a love hate relationship with they do get along at times but Belle doesn't like play fighting with dogs and will get grumpy and remove herself and or hiss if the dog gets aggressive with her. Usually only an issue when food is out and Titus the dog gets territorial Belle is not having that she is a strong graceful elegeant woman about town :D. Hoping you are the right home for her she is a treasured family friend that we can't house because of a pregnancy and new person staying in our household.

Friend is the friendliest cat I’ve ever known. Growing up, I used to be terrified of cats, but his kindness washed away my fears and we’ve been inseparable since. I’m moving soon and I won’t be able to give him the attention I know he deserves. Although he is a stray I spoil him. He gets brushed while he eats and I sit on my porch and read to him when the weather permits. Friend can be timid around strangers but he is very affectionate and loves sunbathing. I adopted Cayenne from the PG County Shelter 2 months ago. She's a very beautiful 5-years old female with a lovely face. She is litter-trained, usually very quite, and healthy, she enjoys playing with balls and other toys. Being a feral cat, she still needs to be socialized. While she is not comfortable approaching people yet, she made a progress and adjusted to live in a home. A patient and understanding home with experienced cat owners is needed as well as a consistent positive interaction with Cayenne will help her to be socialized.

Hi! This is Trippy. He was adopted from the Humane Society in August 2016 when he was only a couple weeks old. He is very loving and loves loves loves to cuddle and be shown affection. He is still very active and loves to play. He was raised around to children, boys. My oldest son was 5 when we got Trippy and my youngest son is now 4. He was great when my youngest son came home from the hospital. Although he was curious, he respected boundaries. He isn’t too thrilled about dogs and he has never been introduced to other cats. Overall, he would be a great addition to your family.
