Story
Duke has been my constant companion for the past nine years. I rescued him when he was just three weeks old, watching him grow into the incredible cat he is today. What makes Duke special is his high emotional intelligence. He has an uncanny ability to tune in to the emotions of those around him. Whether you are feeling joyful or need a quiet moment of comfort, he always seems to know. He is also incredibly social. He does not just tolerate company but thrives in it. Anytime people are over, he wants to be right in the middle of the action, greeting guests and soaking in the attention. At 9 years old, Duke is still incredibly athletic and playful, always ready for a game or a good perch by the window to watch the world go by. Unfortunately, I recently got married, and my husband has severe allergies, making it impossible for us to keep Duke. I want to make sure he goes to a home with someone who genuinely loves animals, is attentive, and affectionate.

Story
Samantha was dumped and showed up on my back porch. She is dying to come inside but I cant let her say inside due to my rental agreement. She is so sweet and sits on my lap and purrs. She jumps up and comes to the door whenever she sees me through the window. She would make a great indoor/outdoor cat. Playful and low maintenance.

Story
Me and my fiancé had been wanting to adopt a pet for a couple months. We tried a few places and landed at PetSmart. We were immediately drawn to Spooky, he was calm, affectionate and friendly. He is currently 8 months old and is up to date with all vaccines. He is a cute and cuddly boy who loves to play. If it weren’t for allergies he would’ve made the perfect addition.

Story
Hi! Dottie is a 7 year old girl, and weighs about 8 lbs. She's been with our family since her previous owner, an older relative, passed away. Unfortunately, Dottie has had trouble adjusting to our other cats and our dog. She's very playful, sweet, and loves to be pet. We think she would make a great addition to a home without other pets. If this sounds like you, please reach out!

Story
Hi there, I'm Ethan. On March 5th, I will become 10 years old. For my final furry years, I'm searching for a forever home. My mommy's human baby is allergic to me, thus she is sadly unable to keep me. Mommy would really like for me to go to a loving, forever home since she is really sad. You can fulfill that desire by adopting me.

These pups are in Alexandria, Virginia too!

Story
I was found on a large plot of land in Kentucky amongst a pile of old car and house junk. I am very playful and vocal when I play with my favorite mouse toy. I like to be up high so I can see my domain or in hidden dark places so I can sleep in peace. I love treats and rolling around in catnip. Unfortunately my older cat brother doesn’t like me too much and I don’t want to be attacked anymore. I love playing with others once I get to know them. I can be very shy and skittish at first but I have a lot of love to give. I have orange cat energy.

Story
Fiona is a beautiful and intelligent kitty that will need a cat experienced adopter to help her continue to flourish. Fiona is very shy and takes quite a while to warm up to new people but that doesn't mean she isn't a happy lady. She really seems to enjoy being with other cats in her foster home, often seen snuggling with someone in a soft blanket and being close during meal times. While Fiona will likely never be a lap cat, she deserves a happy life with a family that is patient and willing to let her have space to grow confidence. We would love to find her a forever home with someone willing to continue socializing her and working with our team on methods we have found helpful in helping kitties acclimate to new environments. To be considered as a prospective adopter please tell us how you think you can help Fiona so she can live out her life with lots of care and love in your adoption application. To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application. Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved. We are an all volunteer group and unfortunately are unable to answer every phone call, adoption inquiry, or application. Please understand you will be contacted only if your application is approved.

Story
Meet Buddy! She's a friendly indoor/outdoor cat looking for her end game. She embodies cat qualities: loyal, affectionate, loving, slow blinks and chasing toys. She is looking to be your only cat. She's a domestic medium hair tabby with a soft, shiny coat, big green eyes and a fluffy tail. Her shots and health care is up to date, records provided. She's approx 9 yrs old and weighs 10 pounds. She has lived outside where dogs chase her and there are cars close by. Rescuing her would take her out of danger. She has an eartip because she was spayed, microchipped and vaccinated initially as an outdoor community cat. What's she's looking for in an adopter: treats! Playtime with toys, having a catio / safe access to the outside, affection, brushing her, a warm home and your patience. To be considered as a potential adopter, complete an adoption application.
