He can get frustrated if you don't understand what he wants. He would be a good candidate to be trained to use the talking buttons you see on social media. He often prefers attention from people over food. He is independent and bold, brave and affectionate. Harvey was big and muscular when he came to GNAR, but after being neutered, has slimmed down. He was very successful as an outdoor cat. Resourceful and generous with helping other cats, and sweet talking people not-so-subtly to bend to his will. He is a kitty politician. If you are a dog person, this is the cat for you. You could probably teach him tricks. He is attentive and wants you to please him : D Background Harvey and Necia were found as strays together. Outgoing Harvey showed up first outside of an industrial building where the employees started to gain his trust and feed him. Uber-friendly Harvey accepted their invitations for friendship after a short while, and soon started inviting himself inside the front door, so they decided it was probably time to look for a new home for him. After he then also brought his new girlfriend Necia to join him, everyone started worrying that there would be kittens if they didn’t do something to prevent it soon. Harvey was very protective of Necia, so they didn’t get chance to get close enough to her to see if she was also tame. Once the 2 cats started getting too bold and trying to come indoors to the office, the employee contacted GNAR to help find a home for them. So they borrowed traps, and brought them to their new foster home. Harvey continued to guard Necia, so the foster home separated them to let Necia show her true personality. Harvey also sweetened up more after he was relieved of his perceived responsibility as Necia's protector and provider. Description Umami is a cuddly, outgoing, affectionate, very handsome kitten. Personality Umami was confident and an extrovert the day he was found. Even though he had never been held by a human before when found at 8 weeks old, he had no problem with it. He was a bit scared for the 1st few days but as soon as you picked him up he melted into a puddle of purrs. He loves to explore and has no fear. He is very curious and is oblivious that some other animals may want to eat him. He will burst out of a doorway, run right up to a large new dog, slipping through the bars of a babygate to join the pack. Umami is talented at jumping up onto a counter to get closer to you. He is a daredevil, talker and enthusiastic eater. Patience is not his forte and he will make sure you know it. Background Umami was found in front of a house all alone after a big storm in southwest Houston on Mon May 13. His momma never came back for him. His finder brought him to a foster home who had 3 bottle baby kittens of about the same age and added him to the litter of orphans. He was just old enough to already be able to lap kitten formula for himself and eat solid food. Description Duke is a handsome, playful and cuddly little tabby boy. Personality Duke is outgoing and tons of fun. He does hilarious flips, and loves to crawl into your clothes and play peekaboo and hide and go seek. He goes limp like a ragdoll when you pick him up, and snuggles against your chest very happily. He spends his time wrestling with his sister Shenandoah, attacking the toilet paper, and playing footsie under the door with the dogs. Background After hurricane Beryl, Duke Energy electrical workers were restoring power in an apartment complex in north Spring off of Rayford. They found Duke and his sister Shenandoah under a pile of fencing. It wasnt a safe place to leave the kittens, so they called rescues to no avail because they couldnt take the kittens back to base camp with them. Calvin is a 1.5 year old young boy! He is fun loving and an energetic ball of joy who brings happiness to everyone he comes in contact with. With an incredible sense of emphathy, he seems to know exactly how you're feeling and is always there to offer comfort when you need it most. Whether he's racing around the house or curling up for some quiet time, Calvin fills every moment with love and warmth. Calvin is very neat with his litter box manners, not messy like some cats. He loves to touch and rub on you and especially loves lazers!

Hi my name is Leo! I'm a sweet handsome boy - orange and white tabby looking for my forever home! My foster Mom says I'm so loveable that my complete name should be Loveable Leo! I think it fits me perfectly. I like to lounge around on my furry cat bed and give kisses to my sisters. I get the occasional zoomies and I like to chase my sisters up to the top of the cat tree! It is so much fun! My favorite thing is to watch my own personal CAT T.V. and get lickable treats as a tasty night time treat! Leon and Russell may not sing or be musicians but they will bring you a lot of joy! These 2 sweet boys were found in the middle of a street at about 2 days old. Their eyes were not open yet and the mother was no where to be found. They were very small and they are still small for their age (3 months) but recently have begun to get a little larger. They are very petite but very outgoing. Very healthy and not afraid of anything! Leon is the one with more white and Russell is the one that is more orange. They are around 4 adult females and are loved by all. Both are happy and well adjusted socially. They have gotten a lot of human attention and feline attention. 2 cuties that hopefully will go together but can be split up. Separately they are $100 each or both for $150. If you are looking for 2 sweet little boys, these guys are the best!

Mr. Snuggles was a very young stray who really wanted to come inside, be loved, and snuggle. Our daughter took him in and he has been a very good cat and companion. Fast forward years, marriage, and now a new baby who is very congested. We need to find Mr. Snuggles and his buddy cat new homes. He is a very sweet cat, laid back, and gets easily along with other pets and children. Please adopt Mr. Snuggles!

Elsa Rae is a true indoor cat. She is chill, loves a good sunny window, and loves her independence. She will cuddle and lay with you, but on her timing. She is up to date with all vaccines and visits the vet every year for her check-up. All of her records are at Kings Crossing Animal Hospital in Kingwood, TX. She also gets groomed every 2-3 months. We have 4 children now and unfortunately, we just do not have the time and expenses for an animal. She comes with a really nice Litter Robot -3rd edition, food, and a variety of cat items. We would love for her to go home to a seasoned cat owner that will love on her as much as we do.

This beautiful tabby was born in a garage to an outdoor cat. Unfortunately, the owner didn't claim his cat's kittens, so while she was socialized as a baby, she was also homeless. I took her in and I'm hoping you can be her forever home. I named Selkie after the Scottish mythical seal that can shed its fur pelt to join the human world. Selkie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. She's been tested for common illnesses and has none. She's about 1 year old, just out of kitten-hood. She is very sweet with kids and has not met a dog yet. She was friendly with my 6 cats, but she is now afraid of them. I think with a slow introduction she could join other cats. She is house trained to use the litter box. However, when she feels threatened, she can mark territory by peeing in a corner. I expect this to pass once she feels safe in a new home. She loves to climb and explore, but she is also a snuggle cat that loves attention. She's confident and regal.
