Story
Toby is a quiet, reserved cat who’s had a tough past that’s left him wary of the world. He spends most of his time curled up in a safe corner, watching with cautious eyes, unsure of who to trust. Toby may not be the first to jump into your lap or beg for attention, but beneath that fear is a sweet, gentle soul who longs for love—he just needs someone patient enough to show him it’s okay to open up. He’s a cat who will need time to feel safe and comfortable in a new home, but with the right person, Toby will begin to show his true self—a calm, loyal companion who offers love in his own quiet way. If you’re looking for a cat who’ll slowly but surely give you his heart, Toby is waiting for that special person to help him shine.

Story
This profile is for two cats. They are sisters from the same litter. They will do better if adopted together into the same home as they have been together their whole lives. They play so well together and keep each other company. We got these cats through https://xxxx@xxxx.x /. After they were born in February 2021, they were placed in a foster home. We got them in May 2021 and they did great. We had them declawed about a month after we got them. So today they are 4 years old and in good health. We have had no health problems and no behavioral problems besides the occasional accident outside of the litter box. These are two of the friendliest cats you'll ever meet. They are very affectionate and come out (rather than go away) when people come over. They love to cuddle and are VERY comfortable with children. We have 5 kids and these cats tolerate a lot of "love" from our kids. We are rehoming because of a busy life with travel. But would love to see these cats go to a loving home.

Story
Charlie is super adoptable: a black and white tux cat with a beautiful black shamrock (three leaf clover) on his nose and a great personality (born 06/30/24). The perfect combination. He's very laid back, as you would expect. You can often find him on my bed with his brother Colt. He is just a joy to have as a friend. Charlie just got his booster shot and next dose of dewormer, and so his shots are up-to-date. He has beautiful brothers and sisters that would make great companions if interested.

Story
Meet Johnny, a wonderfully sweet and affectionate cat born in early August 2023. At about 1 year and 5 months old, Johnny is a perfect blend of youthful energy and calm affection. This handsome boy is very easygoing, loves to be a lap cat, and enjoys pretty much any cat food you offer. He adapts wonderfully with other cats, as evidenced by his close bond with his best friend, Guy, who is also up for adoption (In the picture). Johnny is neutered, healthy, and ready to find his forever home where he can receive all the love and attention he deserves. If you're looking for a lovable and adaptable companion, Johnny is the perfect match for you. Adopt Johnny, and let your home be filled with his warmth and charm.

Tiger is just a wonderful playful cat (born 07/06/24). She was a bit shy as a kitten, but she has grown to become a great affectionate young cat. She gets along with other cats, including adult cats. She just got her booster shot and next dose of dewormer, and so her shots are up-to-date. She is also spayed and microchipped. She has beautiful brothers and sisters that would make great companions if interested..

Story
Chaos refuses to use a litterbox and with our work schedules we don't have time to properly try and do something about it, he does well with our other cats except one. In the picture is him, his mother, and his sister. Almost a month ago we got the girls spayed and ever since he's had a hatred for only his sister. Everytime he sees her he growls, hisses, sometimes he even lightly lunges at her with the intent of starting a fight. Lately he just sits from a distance growling/hissing whenever I open the door to my room in which she's been confined ever since. Nothing we do is helping and his sister doesn't deserve to fear her own sibling or be stuck in my room. We also have 5 other cats who are fine, we need the space and he needs someone who can properly take care of him. He's a real big love bug and doesn't fight with anyone else, I'm unsure how he'll act with other new cats or new environment in general away from the home he's known. He's very food driven and will get into everything.

Story
Introducing Hercules the Hero! Hercules is a 2–3-year-old purebred Red Maine Coon. Hercules has had a tough life. Used as a breeder, likely caged most of his life, then tossed outside like garbage, this poor boy still loves people. He is a bit shyer than the other Maine Coons but is coming around quickly. He is a bit food protective (not necessarily aggressive), and he loves his food. He is very food motivated and would be easily trained using treats. Hercules gets along with other cats (other than at eating times), but he would happily be an only cat as well. A bit smaller than some of the others, he still has the distinctive Maine Coon ear tufts and face. If you are interested in adopting Hercules, please email us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com for an application. He is in a foster home in Ennis, Texas. His adoption fee is $650. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states. Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption. All cats are considered mixed breeds unless otherwise stated. As a rescue, we often don’t know a cat’s origins, and do our best to guesstimate their breed. This is not a guarantee. We do get purebreds from time to time and that will be stated in their description if known. Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
