Story
This beefy boy is Colossus! He's got a personality as large as his body! 19 pounds! Colossus is around 4 years old and gets along with most everyone! He can get a bit overstimulated during play so we'd recommend older children or cat savvy kids. He is FIV+. He gets along with other cats, dependent on their personality. Because of his FIV+ status, he should be in a home where he's not fighting/biting other cats or the only cat in the household or in a household with other FIV+ cats. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

Story
Pelikan is a beautiful tabby and white domestic shorthair with a gentle spirit and a quiet charm. She takes her time getting to know new people, carefully observing from a distance before deciding to let her guard down. But once she does, she transforms into the sweetest cuddle companion, soaking up affection and leaning into pets with contentment. Pelikan is the kind of cat who rewards patience with unwavering loyalty. She may take a little time to adjust, but for those who give her the space she needs, she’ll repay them with warmth, trust, and plenty of snuggles. If you're looking for a cat who will form a deep and meaningful bond, Pelikan would love the chance to be your perfect companion.
