Story
Sky is a sweet and friendly 9 year old cat. She can be shy at first, but once she is comfortable with you, she is very vocal and affectionate. Sky currently lives with another cat, but has never been around dogs. Sadly, Sky's owner recently passed away and she is in need of a new one. She would do best in a quieter home without young children. Sky is up to date on all of her medical care and her most recent physical was in December of 2024.

Story
Dora and Cecil are litter mates and are bonded. I've had them since they were 6 weeks old and are now 5 years old. They need to go to a good home that will keep them together. Cecil is shy while his sister, Dora, is not. They are quite the pair! They are 100% indoor cats and are housebroken.

Story
Joe Kitty Local is in Rhode Island and looking for his furever home! Seven year old orange tabby Joe is looking for a forever family that will shower him with all of the love he deserves. He is a very sweet, affectionate boy who is a little cautious at first but warms up quickly. We think that he would do well in a home with a calm, respectful pup who respects his boundaries. Joe will quickly snuggle his way into your heart! All kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all age appropriate vetting. The adoption donation for our kittens is $250 which is fully refundable should the kitten not be the right fit for you within the first week of adoption. We do not have a cat application form set up, so please fill out our current general application and note the cat/kitten's name in the "interested in" column so we know who you are applying for. Please note, many of these application questions will not pertain to a cat. We are currently trying to revamp our website to accommodate for cats/kittens. Thank you for understanding! www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form/

There is a discount when adopting more than one pet. All pets are microchipped, and the registration fee paid for lifetime. Please copy and paste the following URL for the adoption application: https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter. PDAR.info@gmail.com COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Thank you for your understanding.
