Story
Salem is a precious little 5 month old kitten a neighbor gave me because she was too overwhelmed with all the pets she had. Salem is very sweet and loves to sleep on your pillow. She likes to act like she’s big and tough but she’s just a little baby. She purrs very loudly from just the smallest pets. I would love for her to go to a home where she will be given all the love she deserves.

Story
I'm without a permanent place to live right now. I have shared most of my life with cats. I've never had to re-home what I consider to be a family member and a friend. I've always gone the long way with them. I got Baby in October of 2023. He was probably 6 weeks old. He's been fixed. I got him from a lady who feeds a large group of feral cats. Baby is the strangest dude. He's a super scaredy cat. He can spend hours under the bed or couch when he's upset or afraid. He has some odd behaviors: I'm petting him from his head to the tail. Out of nowhere he'll bite my hand . He sits next to me on the bed, I'm watching TV. He bites my arm. Not hard, I think the bite on the arm is because he wants attention. And sometimes when I pet him, he like reaches his limit. The ears go down and, he's had enough. He never breaks the skin. He's an expert hider and he hates the carrier. He's had to be moved 3 really traumatic times. He adores: head, face, chin and neck scratches.

Story
Our sweet boy Larry is 12 years old and we found him on the side of the highway in the summer of 2012. He was only a couple weeks old and had burnt paws from the pavement and looked like he has some facial wounds. He grew up with our dog Penny who unfortunately passed away 2 years ago. They were best buds and they got along great because that's who he was raised with. Since her passing, we had our first baby and shortly after got another puppy. Larry has not warmed up to either of them and he constantly hides from them and hisses when they get close. It's been 2 years now of trying to introduce them and make him feel comfortable but his quality of life has severely dropped, as he just hides all day and lives in the same room. We also have another baby on the way so unfortunately it's only going to get worse for him. We have honestly been dreading this decision but we think it's best for him to go to another home where he can lounge freely, soak up the sun rays, and play with his toys.

Story
FIP SURVIVOR ALERT! We know many people are familiar with Pringle's journey, but here is a recap if you are new here. Pringle's life has been riddled with bad luck, but he is a fighter! He lost his mom and siblings at 3 weeks of age due to an unknown illness/disease. At 5 weeks, he suffered a dog bite to his face (which was stitched up and healed well) when he escaped his quarantine room to look for a playmate. Then at 8 weeks his Feline Leukemia test showed faintly positive which resulted in a longer quarantine and more tests. At 4 months old, he was neutered and tested negative for FeLV. We were hopeful he could finally socialize with other cats and find a forever home. In the days following surgery, Pringle began rapidly declining and we were preparing for the worst. Tests ruled out several possibilities and he was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). We can happily report that he is officially declared FIP CURED following his one year blood work result after treatment. With so much bad in his life, there can only be good from here! Pringle is an adorable 1 year old boy. He is curious of the world around him and is often the first to explore a new object or room. Pringle loves to play with any dangly string--be it a shoelace or hoodie string! Even more enticing to him are moving feet and hands under a blanket. Pringle often prefers the companionship of humans over felines and does not have the best catiquette because he was isolated for so long due to his illnesses. He loves getting pets on his head and can be such a snuggle bug. Pringle has the tiniest meow when he greets his foster dad at the end of a long work day. Pringle gets a lot of kisses because we just can't resist his big, round eyes. He is also our favorite meme cat. We often create comparisons of his pictures because he is so photogenic and silly! Although Pringle is the most adorable and loving cat, Pringle has developed some cattitude because he was a single kitten for a very long time. He gets overstimulated easily by rowdy cats and people and can get mouthy when pushed to his limit. For this reason, we think the perfect home is a calm household with adults only who are cat savvy and understand his body language. Pringle is neutered, negative for FIV and FeLV, and updated on all his vaccines. Story
Meet handsome Spanky! This delightful swirled tabby has a loving, confidant personality. Spanky was rescued with his siblings over the summer and he's ready for adoption now. Spanky makes himself at home quickly and loves lots of attention. He's playful, smart and will definitely make you happy with his antics. He gets along very well with other cats and is currently in a foster home with Moo. These two love to play hard together and nap together. If you were looking for a pair, Spanky would work well with Moo or his brother Sparky. However, as long as he has another playmate in his home, Spanky will be happy. Spanky is 6 months old (as of November 2024), neutered, up to date with yearly vaccinations and Feline Leukemia/FIV negative. To meet Spanky, please send an email to Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com.

Story
Introducing Athena of our Greek Gods litter! Athena is a sleek and shiny gray tabby girl. Athena is about 5 months old, up to date on all her vaccines and spayed. She came in to foster with her two brothers Artemis and Apollo. Fortunately, Athena’s upper respiratory infection was not as severe as her brothers so her eyes are nice and clear. She has always been half the size of her brother and needed extra nutrition. Because she was so tiny it took a while until she was big enough to get her spay done. Don’t let her size fool you, this little lady loves her food. She absolutely loves a churu treat! Athena also enjoys chasing a laser dot or a dangly string. Athena likes to always greet her foster mom at the door and wants to be included in everything. Our favorite thing about Athena is that she really enjoys getting pets. She is always head butting and ready for a loving pat. Although Athena is a playful kitten and likes to romp around the room with a feline buddy, it does take her longer than normal to warm up to another feline. Introductions should be taken nice and slow to give her ample time to adjust. We think Athena would also do well in a single cat household. If you are interested in this beauty please reach out to Lori for an application at apcatrescue@gmail.com.
