Story
FIP SURVIVOR ALERT! We know many people are familiar with Pringle's journey, but here is a recap if you are new here. Pringle's life has been riddled with bad luck, but he is a fighter! He lost his mom and siblings at 3 weeks of age due to an unknown illness/disease. At 5 weeks, he suffered a dog bite to his face (which was stitched up and healed well) when he escaped his quarantine room to look for a playmate. Then at 8 weeks his Feline Leukemia test showed faintly positive which resulted in a longer quarantine and more tests. At 4 months old, he was neutered and tested negative for FeLV. We were hopeful he could finally socialize with other cats and find a forever home. In the days following surgery, Pringle began rapidly declining and we were preparing for the worst. Tests ruled out several possibilities and he was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). We can happily report that he is officially declared FIP CURED following his one year blood work result after treatment. With so much bad in his life, there can only be good from here! Pringle is an adorable 1 year old boy. He is curious of the world around him and is often the first to explore a new object or room. Pringle loves to play with any dangly string--be it a shoelace or hoodie string! Even more enticing to him are moving feet and hands under a blanket. Pringle often prefers the companionship of humans over felines and does not have the best catiquette because he was isolated for so long due to his illnesses. He loves getting pets on his head and can be such a snuggle bug. Pringle has the tiniest meow when he greets his foster dad at the end of a long work day. Pringle gets a lot of kisses because we just can't resist his big, round eyes. He is also our favorite meme cat. We often create comparisons of his pictures because he is so photogenic and silly! Although Pringle is the most adorable and loving cat, Pringle has developed some cattitude because he was a single kitten for a very long time. He gets overstimulated easily by rowdy cats and people and can get mouthy when pushed to his limit. For this reason, we think the perfect home is a calm household with adults only who are cat savvy and understand his body language. Pringle is neutered, negative for FIV and FeLV, and updated on all his vaccines. If you think that you've got the perfect home for this wonderful boy, please email Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com for an application today!

Story
Snuggles, (aka Wittle, because she was so little when we rescued her), also known as Baby Girl (which she loves), came to us while apparently nursing kittens. At the time she was only approx, 7 months old. She found shelter in a fox or groundhog den in the ground under boulders in the woods and would go there after eating. When she finally let us trap her, she was finishing nursing kittens according to the vet, and it became apparent that the kittens drowned during the torrential rainstorms here in New Jersey in July, 2023. We had her spayed, vaccinated, tested for FELV/FIV, dewormed, she did not have ear mites or fleas, and she is microchipped. Snuggles LOVES to be cuddled in her cat bed and kissed all over and even gives us her belly! She is cross-eyed and does not seem to jump high, but otherwise does not seem to have any visual impairments. She loves the laser light, and for us to dangle ropes and make them move on the ground like they are snakes. Snuggles is elusive but when she gets to know you, she just wants to sit on your lap and snuggle. She currently lives most of the day in her cage because she does not like other cats, therefore she should be the only cat in the home. She comes up to you for petting and fusses when you pick her up but then settles quickly. She is a quiet, calm cat that loves to search for mice and is extremely gentle. Snuggles would be a great kitty to snuggle in a bed with a person and would be a good kitty for someone who works from home or is home most of the day. She is gentle and would be fine with a responsible child but we must give her time to get used to being held. If you are interested in Snuggles, please contact Communities Altering The Strays (CATS), 908-453-0082 or fill out an adoption application at www.catsincorporated.org. Thank you!

Story
I adopted a stray in February 2022. She had a litter in March 2022. I kept one kitten and gave the two sisters to my daughter’s friend. The owner has heath issues and can no longer care for the bonded sisters. She wants me to take the cats. Since they are my cat’s babies I feel obligated to re-home the sisters. Please help me re-home them. Thank you!

Story
Watson has been a beloved pet in our household for 14 years. Age hasn’t slowed him down a bit, as he still enjoys playing with toys and acting silly when you give him attention. One of his many quirks is that when you scratch behind his ear, he starts to kick his foot under his chin. His fur is so soft, making him a comfortable companion to cozy up with. We have a 1 year-old daughter, who he has been very friendly too as well. Circumstances in our life have changed recently that require us to put Watson up for adoption. We are moving to Boston, where we will be living in a space that is unable to accommodate both Watson and our other older cat, who is currently suffering from various health issues. In his old age, Watson and our other cat have not been getting along (after living together for 12+ years) and will get into fights anytime they are near one another. For this reason, it is preferred that Watson’s new home does not have any other pets or animals.
