Story
This is Charlie, a one year old tortie/tabby mix. He is a ball of joy who loves to hunt, snuggle, and find new places to hide. Neither he nor his brother do well with dogs, but he will try with nearly any other pet. He does well with out leopard gecko, and he did well with rabbits in the past. He is a very vocal cat who will imprint on just about anything, and even likes to sleep in our bed. He seems to get bored of toys in about a week, and you will eventually have to seek him out to play. He loves lasers and round things like bracelets. He and his brother Bobo were adopted from a family friend at 8 weeks old, and have been well cared for ever since. By the time they hit 9 months, I started noticing my asthma worsening. We tried nearly everything, even moved to a hard-wood floored apartment with no change. As they get older, their dander is getting more and more potent. As much as I love them, I have to make a choice of companionship or breathing.

Story
Meet Wanda IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WANDA, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Wanda was a young teenage kitten when we trapped her in a feral colony in Bethel Park. We had a cat experienced foster home willing to take her in as a foster and get her used to domestic life. It took months, but now she loves the indoors, and loves human affection and attention. She follows her foster mom, Emilie, around the house, “yelling” at her, and demanding pets and butt scratches. She also gets along well with the resident cats and dog, and you can often find her hanging out with the dog!

Story
My name is Garol, I am a gal that will brighten your day. I am comical to watch with a quirky personality. My foster mom says I am good at rolling over to show you my belly. That means I am comfortable with you. I love affection and crave belly rubs the most. My absolute favorite place to be is on the cat tree. This is a must to have in my new home, any kind works for me, this is just where I like to be. Boxes are also my bed. I would be a great companion for any home. I enjoy the company of other cats and I get along with kids. My best friend is my fosters personal cat (who is an orange tabby). I do not mind the dogs. Schedule a greet with me to see if I would be a good addition to your home. Named origin: Named after Saturday Night Live Skit Her story: NPLB was called to help because I was injured. The top of my hip bone by my tail on my back was fully ripped opened and exposed from some sort of injury. I was trapped and treated. The wound took several treatments to heal. I have gained weight and thrive with the company of other pets and people indoors. I once was shy and timid and now I am outgoing, loving and affection seeking. Story
Meet Toby, Meet Toby, a 1-year-old brown tabby who is a bundle of love with a heart as big as his courage. Toby’s journey hasn’t been easy, but he’s faced every challenge with bravery, resilience, and an unshakeable belief in better days. His time on the streets may have been tough, but through it all, Toby has kept his head held high and his hopes high too. Now that he's found safety, Toby is eager to share all his love with you. He’s a people cat and can’t wait to be by your side – whether you're human, a kid, or even another cat. But Toby’s best friend? Dogs! He’s absolutely crazy about them and would love to find a home where he can have a furry canine companion to share his days with. We find him keeping himself entertained by playing with some of his favorite toys: hair ties & milk rings. Although Toby gets along with other cats, he would also enjoy being King Kitty of the Kastle. Toby is incredibly affectionate, always looking for opportunities to rub up against you and offer companionship. He’ll follow you from room to room, greet you at the door, and just be the most loving presence in your life. With his proud and confident demeanor, Toby is ready to share his resilience and endless affection with his forever family. If you’re looking for a loving, brave, and incredibly social kitty to join your family, Toby might just be the best friend you’ve been waiting for. Name Meaning: The name "Toby" means "God is good" and is derived from the Hebrew name "Tobias". Toby earned his name with receiving a 2nd chance at life with us to be healed and find his forever family. His Story: Toby was found in a colony of 20+ cats in Smithfield, PA in Fayette County. NPLB was called to help when he was severely injured. None of the cats at the colony were fixed. Toby was transported to us and we were able to get him into the vet to be clipped, cleaned and stitched up. It appeared at 1st that he was bitten by a dog. His jaw was ripped open from underneath tearing a bigger than thumb size hole open in his throat. You could literally see his veins and organs inside the hole. Even with this extreme injury, he showed not 1 sign of pain or anger. He showed nothing but love and affection, thankfulness and confidence. He has extremely friendly nature towards all dogs, we think if he was attacked by a dog, he would possibly fear them. Although we are not sure if he was attacked by an animal, or stick in a fence or trap, we knew he needed help. The rest of the kitties received TNR by a rescue who teamed up with us to tackle the colony while we cared for Toby to help manage the population. Story
I received honey when she was a kitten she was the runt of her litter. She is about 6 years old now. She is a great cat doesn’t bother anyone and isn’t mean she can be playful at times but, she tends to stay out of the way, she has never clawed or purposely bit anyone , she rarely uses her claws. She is sweet but I can no longer care for her due to her issues with using the bathroom. it’s not her fault but my own I never taught her how to properly use the bathroom she does use the litter box. but she does need someone who is consistent with her and will have the time to retrain her.

Story
Ruby was estimated to be 2-3 weeks old when found in a vacant house in Nov. 2020. A friend and I fostered her to health and I adopted her from Kitty Queen after she was spayed and chipped. We raised her with other cats and she has had some experience living with dogs. I'm hoping to find a home with at most one other cat as she has generally not done well living with other pets. Ruby is very playful and affectionate, but uses her claws when playing and does not enjoy being held. I have a water fountain, auto feeder, toys/scratching post, etc. to go with her if desired. She prefers drinking from a fountain and is best fed 3x a day in small servings. On a final note, Ruby has a lengthy vet history due to excessive vomiting from over grooming. However, she has been doing great with her current food, a small amount of laxatone 2x a week, and regular brushing. I dont want to see her go, but my job often involves lengthy work trips and I have had trouble finding care while away.
