Story
She was found in our yard a year ago. It takes her a little while to get comfortable with new people. She would like to be an only pet with no children. We believe her previous owner may have been rough with her because she is timid about being petted. She has not bit or scratched anyone. She purrs when I sit in the room with her and she will cuddle with me if l lay down for a nap. She loves to play with the worm on a pole and string toy, will send with her. She is a sweet cat that needs someone/s who can spend time with her.

Story
Dash is an adorable blue-eyed siamese-tabby cross with a tuxedo cat mixed in somewhere along the line. He is affectionate and very playful— never met a cat who likes to play so much. I had to move from a home where he was mainly an indoor cat but had the run of a yard. Now he is confined and misses his periods outside. He is used to having the best of both worlds. I think he might do ok with a kitten or possibly another cat for company, but would be happiest if he could spend some time outdoors , even in a small enclosed area, but still mainly be a house cat.

Story
Very special cats. They are best buds and have been together their whole lives so I REALLY don't want them to get split up. They are SO great. Everyone that meets them is blown away with how quickly they warm up to strangers and how affectionate they are. - About 12-13 years old (they are about 1 year apart in age) - Indoor only their entire lives - Very cuddly and affectionate. They absolutely love people - No medications. I've always fed them good quality food and expect them to live long healthy lives - Great with dogs - Overall pretty low maintenance. They keep each other entertained and are pretty content to eat, nap and cuddle I've had them since they were both tiny kittens so I am pretty heartbroken about having to give them up. Unfortunately my partners mother is pretty ill and we will need to be traveling in and out of Portland to spend time with her and help out with family stuff.

Looking for a Loving Home for a Friendly Cat. We are looking to rehome a wonderful cat that belonged to our late mother-in-law. She is friendly, playful, and well-behaved, making a great companion for the right family. Unfortunately, due to our relocation and having a dog, we are unable to keep her. If you or someone you know is interested in providing a loving home, please reach out. We’d love to find the perfect match!

Story
We offered to take Pearl from my friend who was dying and needed someone to care for her cat. Pearl is adorable, lovable, and gentle. She is 11 years old, a brown tabby. She’s been with us about 4 weeks. She and our cat are not getting along. Pearl came from a house with two dogs and another cat so I know she can interact easily with other pets. But our cat has been an "only child" for two years is is scared of Pearl and very territorial. Pearl has been given the guest bedroom where my husband fashioned a fence so the door can be open but Pearl cannot get out. Our cat won’t come near. I’ve introduced them several times but our cat just runs away, so they remain separate. When we hang out with Pearl she snuggles and purrs freely. She is a very beautiful and easy cat to love but sadly she doesn't seem like a good fit for our home.

Story
12 yr old male tabby shorthair, outdoor/indoor with access to a 5 acre property, no allergies or other medical issues, however, he has a sensitive stomach. Frog is a rather petite cat, and he has been neutered. We had him since he was 3 weeks old and describe him as being adventurous and loving his time outdoors a lot. Very cuddly otherwise, loves being petted and brushed, good with other cats and even large dogs. He will be the cat that falls asleep on your desk on top of your work while you are trying to get it done. Definitely needs to go to a home where he can have plenty of access to the outdoors. Ideal would be someone that owns a farm or a large property like ours. We are also willing to send him to his new home with some of the necessities, since we won't need them anymore.

Appr. 13 yr old female tabby shorthair, outdoor/indoor with access to a 5 acre property, no allergies or other medical issues, she is a very petite cat, and has been spayed. She used to be feral for the 1st year of her life, but you wouldn't know it now. She loves her outdoor time, but also gladly returns home for all the conveniences. A bit skittish, but loves being petted and brushed to the point where she will throw herself at you, good with other cats and even large dogs. Definitely needs to go to a home where she can have plenty of access to the outdoors. Ideal would be someone that owns a farm or a large property like ours. Story
MEOW! I'm FENNEC, a 2-year-old handsome tabby boy who needs a foster or forever home. I tested FIV-positive, which only means I need to be the only cat in your home. I've got a heart full of love to share. I'm a sweet, friendly fellow with a sprinkle of curiosity. I'm smart, too, figuring out things quicker than most. I'm also a cuddly snuggler who loves a good lap to curl up on. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I'm all purrs and head rubs. I'm also independent, so I won't mind if you're busy sometimes. I'm a gentle soul, mellow and easy-going. I promise to bring a touch of tranquility to your life. Can you foster or adopt me?

Story
Lily is 12yrs old and prefers to be the queen of the house and does not do well when others are stealing the attention from her human. She loves having hiding places that make her feel safe and can be startled easily. She is a good girl who loves snuggles, belly shakes, head scratches and purrs easily but does not like children at all.

Biggie was given to us by a friend. She was declawed and is an indoor cat. Biggie is very affectionate and loves to be close to you. She will crawl up on your lap and stay there for as long as you want. She is older but still very playful. She gets along with all other animals, but does like her space as well.

Katana was a rescue from Hawaii. She was born April 2021. Katana is very lovable, and she can be mischievous. She is not afraid of anything. Katana likes to chase after and play with her close friend Mystique who was adopted with her and grew up together. She has lots of energy and gets along well with all animals. Story
Wanda is a beautiful tortoiseshell kitten ready to meet the family who will take her home and love her forever! Wanda and her sister Willow are very bonded and will be adopted as a pair. They are about 14 weeks old. ** Wanda and Willow will only be adopted as a pair. ** These girls are loving, playful, and confident. They enjoy endless hours playing together and they get along well with the other cats in their foster home. They love all kinds of toys and "chase and rassle" games. We would describe their activity level as 9+ on a scale of 10. Eventually their kitten energy will subside, but they will do best in a home that isn't currently filled with delicate, valuable objects. When playtime is over, they love cuddling in a warm lap and they will expect to be welcomed to sleep on the bed with the people in their new home. All of our kittens for adoption have been spayed, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. The adoption fee is $150 for a pair. If you are interested in meeting Wanda & Willow, please fill out the adoption interest form at our website (www.pdx-petadoption.org) and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark. Animal Rescue & Care Fund is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.

Story
Gilbert and Eddie are two young fellas who came from different circumstances but have become best buddies at their foster home. Both of them get along well with the other cats in their home, but they picked each other as playmates and besties--it's a good thing, because they have a lot of energy! They are looking for a family to take them home and love them forever. ** Gilbert and Eddie will only be adopted as a pair.** These boys are about 2 years old. Gilbert is a brown striped tabby and Eddie is a black and white tuxedo. They are playful, curious, and very sweet. They can be shy with strangers, but once proper introductions have been made, they want to hang out on the couch with their people. Gilbert is a true gentleman, mild-mannered and polite. He is a "near you but not on you" guy, and will never be a bother to anyone. Eddie likes to get up close and personal--a velcro kitty who loves to stretch out next to his person on the bed for maximum contact. Gilbert and Eddie both love toys, treats, and meal time. They have excellent house manners and no special dietary needs, other than the high-quality food we provide for all our rescued cats. Both Gilbert and Eddie have been neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. The adoption fee is $150 for the pair.
