Story
We're failing in health and need to move into a retirement home. Lillie Belle is a suburban indoor-outdoor cat and would not fit into the confined living arrangement. She patrols her domain (our yard and the next neighbors), but stays close to home. When not on patrol she will come into the house, sit on her perch a while to look out the window, then come back in at night. We adopted her from Safe Haven humane Tangent when she was1.5 years old and is now 6.5+ years old. She was a stray before she came to Safe Haven and though she was wary and reacted to sudden moves or loud noise she bonded to us quickly. She acted more like she was abandoned than being feral. Over the time we've had her she has become more comfortable around other people. She likes to be near people, not alone. She's affectionate and loyal, but not a "lap cat" who will sit while being petted for very long. She cuddles a while when I'm in bed at night before curling up at my feet. We love her.

Story
Finn is an affectionate, gentle, and sensitive 2-3 year old kitty. He was adopted into a home when he was a kitten and later after he was an adult cat, the family adopted a puppy. Finn was not happy living with a barking, boisterous puppy. The family put Finn outside and he just stopped going home. A neighbor took care of him and eventually he was returned to us for rehoming. Finn is a super sweet boy who will make a wonderful companion kitty in the right environment. He needs a quiet home--no dogs--he doesn't seem to be too bothered by other mellow cats. Finn would be ideal in the home of a senior or a person who works from home as he likes to be around for pets and attention. See photo of Finn sitting on our desk--he could be your desk mascot, too. Finn has been flea treated, dewormed, neutered, fully vaccinated and micro chipped. If you'd like more information or to meet this sweet boy, text or call 503-586-6176.

Good with cats,
Story
He's been here since April and he really needs a home..everytime I open the outside apt door to go in he trys to follow me..this is why I believe he's been more an indoor cat (outside to do his business) He Showed up at my Apartment complex 1st of April..I had a McDonald's bag in my hand and he tried to introduce himself to it. He was skinny and obviously hungry..I think he was mostly an indoor cat and really misses being inside and with people so should do well in that kind of home. Right now he's food motivated and that may be the best way to get him acclimated to your home. Given time, love and patience Im sure he will become your loving cat.

Story
Sophie’s first person was an international student. They graduated and left her with another international student. When they grabs he came to me at three years old. Sophie is 8 or 9 years old. She is a beautiful cat. She had a little dog brother that she liked to boss around. Sophie likes cuddles and treats. She is a smart cat. She’s been known to do zombies when she doesn’t get her way. She is curious by nature, loves to bring live gifts, and enjoys catnip.

Story
Kittens were born to a wonderful mom, Marley. Not to be biased, but Marley has been and still is the best cat we've ever had. These four kittens have more energy than we can handle. With our busy lives, I am afraid we are going to fall short of providing the care they deserve.

Story
The name Mikka means “who is like God?” Mikka, may or may not think she is God, but she does think that she is gorgeous classic Tabby. Don't you love her striking black and gray swirls. Mikka was born approximate 06/2022. She came to us wth kittens. This young mother was very protective of her kittens. Once she was spayed, she is much happier and not quite as sassy. Mikka does not tolerate dogs She does great with other cats, but would need a slow introduction. She does have a Tortiefoster sister, Georgia, who she loves napping with. Mikka does like to play. Mostly she like surveying her kingdom from the sofa. Mikka would make a great companion for you. I don't think she would be a good match for bouncy children. -$100 adoption fee. Mikka has been neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and tested negative for FIV and Felv. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application, https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information. We do not have a shelter. All our rescues are in foster homes. The $100 adoption fee per cat insures that all cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped, vaccinated for FVRCP (feline distemper), dewormed, and have been treated for fleas.
