Story
This sweet lady came back to us after her owners were unable to keep her. She is a very lovely kitty who enjoys being pet, will rub up against you and sit near you, but not on your lap, once she is comfortable with you. She tolerates being picked up and carried, but doesn't enjoy snuggles. She travels very well in the car and has made several road trips across Ontario. She likes catnip toys, but isn't a big fan of chasing a ball. She likes to watch visitors to her home from afar and isn't likely to visit for more than a passing head scratch. She is tolerant of children and other cats, but not dogs. She has been spayed, is up to date with her vaccines, is FIV/FelV negative and has had her flea treatment. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes faster by respecting these guidelines!

Story
This young gal came into our care pregnant, has had her time to be a momma and is now ready for her furever home. She can be very affectionate, and also very not affectionate! She took a long time to trust her foster momma, but is still wary of being picked up. She does enjoy a good petting and chin scratches and will sit nearby, but not snuggle. She is not a fan of dogs and children should be 10 or older so not to overwhelm her. A quiet indoor home with another quiet kitty would be ideal for her. She has been flea treated and dewormed, is FIV/FelV negative, up to date on her vaccines and has been spayed. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! Hilda is a spicy and spunky, fearless little girl. She loves to play and wrestle with her siblings. She adores a nap in your lap with belly rubs. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the spay surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! Story
Muffin is an energetic kitten that loves to play with anything that she can! A spin a ball around a track, and wand toys are favorites,. She is fostered with other cats and dogs and adores all the other cats and dogs. She is not super cuddly but will come to be pet for short periods of time and she doesn't mind being carried around. She would be best in a home with lots of hands to pet her and a kitty friend. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. Story
MEET ZEUS! He is a big handsome, chill boy. He loves being brushed (which will be a requirement) and playing with his toys. He also likes to "hang out" and keep you company but not in a needy way. Zeus will walk in and make himself right at home! We think Zeus may have Irritable Bowel which means a special food from the vet and a lifetime commitment to that special diet, daily B12 chewable which he eats like a treat and a low dose steriod pill (1/2 pill every other day). You can do just about anything with Zeus. He loves being carried around over your shoulder, Zeus seems to be territorial with other cats so we believe he would be happier if he was the only cat in the home. He would love a cat friendly canine to play with (we sometimes think he sees himself as a dog!) .Zeus tried to play with the little dog in last foster home but she wasn't having it. We would be happy to consider a foster to adopt arrangement with Zeus as we know his future care is a bigger commitment. He's such a lovely boy. We don't think you would regret your decision once you meet him! He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and had parasite prevention treatments. He is in a foster home in Mitchell, ON. If you are interested in hearing more about Zeus please complete the short online adoption inquiry and a volunteer will be in touch. https://www.felinefriends.ca/foster-and-adoption

Story
Meet Marv, a sweet and resilient cat who`s ready to find his forever home! After a rough start in life, Marv has flourished with lots of love and care. Although he has an abnormality of his front paw from a past fracture and a small nasal polyp, these don`t slow him down—he`s as sweet as can be and full of charm. Marv has tested positive for FIV, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the one and only cat, or with other FIV-positive companions. He`ll come with information sheets to help guide his new family in giving him the best care possible. We can also have his vet records sent to the adopters vet prior to adoption upon request. If you`re ready to open your heart to this special boy, Marv can`t wait to meet you!**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Any applications submitted outside of www.kwsphumane.ca may not be received.
