Story
This sweet lady came back to us after her owners were unable to keep her. She is a very lovely kitty who enjoys being pet, will rub up against you and sit near you, but not on your lap, once she is comfortable with you. She tolerates being picked up and carried, but doesn't enjoy snuggles. She travels very well in the car and has made several road trips across Ontario. She likes catnip toys, but isn't a big fan of chasing a ball. She likes to watch visitors to her home from afar and isn't likely to visit for more than a passing head scratch. She is tolerant of children and other cats, but not dogs. She has been spayed, is up to date with her vaccines, is FIV/FelV negative and has had her flea treatment. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes faster by respecting these guidelines!

Story
This young gal came into our care pregnant, has had her time to be a momma and is now ready for her furever home. She can be very affectionate, and also very not affectionate! She took a long time to trust her foster momma, but is still wary of being picked up. She does enjoy a good petting and chin scratches and will sit nearby, but not snuggle. She is not a fan of dogs and children should be 10 or older so not to overwhelm her. A quiet indoor home with another quiet kitty would be ideal for her. She has been flea treated and dewormed, is FIV/FelV negative, up to date on her vaccines and has been spayed. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! Hilda is a spicy and spunky, fearless little girl. She loves to play and wrestle with her siblings. She adores a nap in your lap with belly rubs. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the spay surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! Muffin is an energetic kitten that loves to play with anything that she can! A spin a ball around a track, and wand toys are favorites,. She is fostered with other cats and dogs and adores all the other cats and dogs. She is not super cuddly but will come to be pet for short periods of time and she doesn't mind being carried around. She would be best in a home with lots of hands to pet her and a kitty friend. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet.
