Story
I got Curry as a kitten from a foster home in Wisconsin back in 2020. He was born in May of 2020, so he is 4 years old. He’s a very sweet and affectionate cat who loves to cuddle and is good with new people, but he does tend to eat fabric (blankets, tshirts, towels, mainly). I haven’t been able to get him to stop eating stuff. He may need another energetic cat to keep him entertained. Presently my other cat is pretty lazy and doesn’t have the same energy level as Curry does. I love Curry, but I’m moving into a new house and there’s no good way to keep him from potentially eating stuff he shouldn’t here. He has always used his litter box and is a very clean cat. He also lets me trim his nails without issue. Looking for a good home for him and someone who may be experienced with helping cats get out of his eating issues (cause he’s a perfect cat otherwise)

Story
I found Razzle outside my dad’s home when he was only a few months old, he was trying to greet a neighbor’s dog. I asked around and no one claimed him so I took him in. He is super sweet, likes to be pet and brushed, will sit on your lap and fall asleep next to you. He is well behaved and gets along with anyone and everything, other cats, dogs, kids, etc. Although he is chunky he loves to play especially with a laser. He also loves to watch birds out the window. I moved out of my dad’s 2 years ago and could not take all my cats so my dad offered to keep Razzle. The reason I now have to rehome him is my dad is not doing well and is stuck in the hospital and can no longer care for Razz or his other cats. I unfortunately cannot take him or any of the other cats. Razzle is a great cat and I really want to find him a great new home that will love and appreciate him. Would love to find someone that is also willing to help him lose some weight as he’s 22lbs.

Story
Vengeance is a special boy looking for a special home! Vengeance is a special needs cat who will need an understanding adopter. You see, Vengeance is affectionately called “Booger Boy” He gets these sneezing fits and sneezes lots of snot and boogers. He is a cat that will require routine antibiotics when his sneezing gets too bad. Unfortunately, the symptoms will never fully go away... we had hoped his sneezing was temporary and his first round of antibiotics would take care of it, but unfortunately that wasn't meant to be.. poor Vengeance has been dealing with this since he was a tiny kitten, but even a booger boy deserves a great, loving home!!! Vengeance LOVES other cats! He loves to cuddle up with them and play. He is very much an affectionate lap kitty. If interested in meeting or adopting Vengeance, please apply at Bluesmews.org

Story
**COURTESY POST** This is Boragard: Boragard and his two siblings were born to a young stray. Just two days before they were born, their mom was rescued from the wrath of a cranky raccoon that was “sharing” a food dish and brought to me by a long-time family friend. He started out rather scared of being picked up and held but now, he loves it and will climb on chairs or totes to get higher up so that I might see him and scoop him up. He is very sweet and loves cuddles. He doesn't even mind being held like a baby. He’s a very big boy and is already as big as his young momma. His birthday is July 19, 2022. He’s been neutered, combo tested negative and is fully vaccinated. Boragard would do best in a home with other cats. To adopt Boragard, please email thecopaceticcat@yahoo.com

Story
An adoption application must be submitted and can be found at www.bluesmews.org *** Update March 2021 MacGyver says ... The outcome of my experiments were quite satisfactory, and so It is decided. I am to be a lap cat. I found my experiments to be quite informative. Most notably, I have determined that a proper lap does not have a laptop on it. Laptops, while warm, do not possess the right feel underfoot. So, if you wish me to be your lap cat, you must rid your lap of any laptops. Additionally, I have found that shoulders can serve as adequate resting places when supplementally supported by the arm or back of a recliner. This has been found to be an acceptable alternate for those times when your laptop must be in your lap. Further experiments are underway to determine the optimal positioning - is it best to face the laptop or face away from it? You must note, despite having become a lap cat, I have not budged in my refusal to become a pick-me-up cat. Do not attempt it. I will not be pleased. Note also, if you ignore my yowl of protest, I have claws with which to express my displeasure. January 2021 MacGyver says ... So you heard I am just like Garfield? That I am a bit of a jerk to the other cats? Seriously? Only a bit? I strive for excellence in everything I do. Plus, it is only SOME of the other cats - the ones I don’t like. Other than my color, I don’t see any resemblance at all to Garfield. Garfield is a lasagna-eating slob. I, on the other hand, am a fit kitty with a preference for a more nutritional diet of dry kibble. You can keep that human food to yourself. I don't want it. Unlike Garfield, I will NEVER wake you up in the morning so you can feed me. That is not my style. I will wait for you to wake up, then demand my morning quota of pets. If you prefer to remain in bed, I will lie on top of you, giving you the perfect excuse to stay under the covers while petting me. I am not what you would call a lap cat, but recently I have been experimenting with lap sitting. I think that I may come to enjoy this activity if presented with a suitably comfortable lap. The warmth potential is enticing, and I believe, mutually enjoyable, particularly on winter mornings. And if I choose to become a lap cat, you can be sure I will strive for excellence in this endeavor.
