Story
Hi this is Chase! He is a very sweet and loving cat. We got Chase from the Wake County animal shelter when he was just a few months. Chase is the perfect name for him because he loves running around and is just a ball of energy. He’s also very sweet and calm. He loves to snuggle and get pets. We would love for him to go to a home that is experienced with owning cats and also may have dogs as he is good with dogs. He loves to scratch so having ample posts for him to scratch on is a must. His favorite texture to scratch on is carpet texture so having carpeted posts is great. Overall he is a good cat but we just can’t have him due to restrictions at our residence.

Story
This is Lady! She was found as a stray roaming around a restaurant in Durham. She’s around 10 months out now, and very playful! She’s a very sweet girl who loves attention and back rubs. She loves treats and Cat TV, but does not do well with dogs, as she is quite scared of them. She is a very feisty, funny little girl who would make an amazing pet!

Story
I’m a playful, busy little guy who loves darting after toys, practicing my wrestling moves, and zooming around like a tiny ninja. Once I’ve tired myself out, I might hop into your lap for a quick catnap once we’ve become better acquainted. Even adventurers need to recharge their batteries! I’m looking for a home with a patient adopter who understands that I will need some time to adjust to my new surroundings. I’d also love a kitty friend in my new home, so I have a buddy to play and wrestle with! If you’re looking for a playful companion who’ll keep you entertained with my antics and maybe even warm your lap, I can’t wait to meet you! Est. DOB: October 11, 2024 Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with shelter paid registration.

Story
Garfield is around 8 years old. He was my mother-in-laws cat due to her passing we are rehoming him. He was from California, but moved to NC about 2 years ago. Garfield lived with dogs all his life, and another cat. He is a big kitty, and loves scratches on his butt. He is friendly with kids, and other animals. We are looking for a forever home for him as we have a house full and it is not fair to him. He must go with Yoda, the marble cat.

Story
Yoda is a multicolored tabby. She is about 5 years old. She was my mother-in-law’s cat and due to her passing they need to be rehomed. She came from California with her step-brother Garfield. She is very shy, but loveable as she gets to know you. We are looking for a forever home for her, as we have a house full and it is not fair for her. She was abandoned by her mother as an infant as she was the runt of the litter, and was bottle fed as an infant. She is very sweet, and loves to climb. She must go with Garfield the big orange tabby.

Story
Silas is a 7 year old neutered male Maine Coon mix. He is a loveable & sociable cat. We rescued him as a kitten at 2-3 months old. He is diabetic & is on insulin. He is doing good on his medicine. Unfortunately, it requires being home to feed and give it to him. Our family dynamic has changed & it is hard to be there for him. We had never had a cat in the house before getting Silas. We found out later that my husband is allergic & has recently developed some other medical issues making it hard to be around him. He is used to a dog in the house (he grew up with our dog). He is good with people, easy to hold, & play with. He purrs a lot & loves to lay in your lap. He is an indoor cat, but he loves to go outside & look around. We have a screened in porch that he goes on. He will take a bath & play fetch with his toy mouse. He is up to date on all vaccines & vet visits. We think he would do well in an environment with adults & older kids, retired person or one who works from home.

Story
Looking for a furry friend that could make you Instagram famous with her dorky antics? Love a challenge and don’t mind a bit of mess? Wish you had a cat that worshipped YOU instead of the other way around? Francesca might be your girl! Francesca is a beautiful, sweet and petite young adult with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) which makes her a bit wobbly and have some funky depth perception, but it doesn’t slow her down! She loves to play, cuddle, and chill out on the porch watching the world go by. She has never met a stranger and has lived with other cats and dogs, and gets along with gentile kids. She can be a little demanding when it comes to love and will be your little shadow wherever you go! Fran’s biggest challenge since she has been in rescue is that she does not consistently poop in the litterbox and sometimes prefers the floor. She will need a patient and dedicated pet parent to help her with her special quirks! Things you can look forward to as Fran’s parent: · The most expressive face ever seen on a cat · Watching her run like a horse in her sleep · Devotion and affection you would get from a dog · Not having to hide your plants since she cannot jump onto counters · A friend that gets along with everyone she meets Francesca is spayed, utd on vaccines, fiv/felv- and microchipped. Her adoption donation is $200. To apply please visit apply.neshamarescue.org
