Story
Toonces is a super sweet, sociable cat who loves to cuddle up. Toonces was born in Asheville and we adopted her from my daughter about about 13 years ago when she was a kitten. She handles crowds well and is very comfortable with adults and children. She is very gentle with kids and has a great disposition. Unfortunately, we are moving across country and can't bring Toonces with us. She is house trained and likes sleeping inside, but enjoys exploring the outdoors during the day. Toonces is truly an awesome cat!

Story
Simba is a sweet and playful boy, but not coping well with the addition of a new baby. His anxiety is causing him to urinate around the house and I have to make the extremely difficult decision to find him a new, loving home. He is also bonded with his sister, Nala (also 12), so I think they would be happier in a new home together. Simba loves to cuddle with his catnap toys, and also play fetch with rubber bands. Nala loves dribbling crinkly balls like a soccer ball! I can't belive they are 12 because they play like kittens. They will snuggle with me on the couch (when they decide to :)) and sleep in bed with me. They are inside cats, spayed/neutered. They will do best in a generally quiet home with no dogs. They also love plenty of windows for sleeping in the sun and bird-watching.

Story
Hi yall, looking to rehome my sweet kitty. Due to an emergency move back home with my sick mother who is highly allergic, I can no longer provide a good home for him to live his best life. Eggnog is his name, he’s a tabby, has a big personality and is dog friendly! He will be 2 later this month, neutered, and I can provide vet records. I do require a phone or virtual meeting first as well as references to ensure be is going to a loving and safe home. Small rehoming fee of $25 but can discuss this if needed. Thank you.

Story
We adopted Artimus from the SPCA in Garner about a year ago. She had just been fixed after having a litter of kittens. Artimus is about 4 years old. She's only ever been around myself, my husband and our 13-year-old son since the adoption but once she got used to us, she had no problem asking for love and attention. She absolutely does not like to be picked up, but we've been working on that by picking her up and cuddling her while scratching her favorite spot, behind her ears. There's only been 2 issues since we got her, 1. she scoots even though there's no reason according to her vet and 2. she pees on anything left on the bathroom floor whether it be a rug or a towel or clothes. Since we live in a small apartment and the bathroom has no ventilation, we cannot close the door. This is the only reason we are putting her up for adoption. Please reach out today to meet this adorable girl.

Story
Sadie will turn 8 in March 2025. She was born from a mama cat who was at a shelter in Charlotte, NC and was born at the shelter. I adopted her as a kitten. The first 4 years everything was great. She loved being the only one to get attention. We got a dog 3 years ago and things have not been going well. The dog seems to really stress her out and has increased her anxiety. We have a baby on the way and I worry she will become even more stressed/anxious with a baby in the home. I am looking to rehome her to a place where she would be the only pet in the household. She is very sweet and loving but our home does not seem to be the best environment for her anymore.

Story
Art here is a little over 10 years old, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and declawed. He was declawed as a kitten before me or his previous owner took him in. A close friend had to move to Colorado for the Air Force and could not take him with her, so I volunteered to foster him until we found a forever home. It took him a few months to get comfortable with me and my other cat but it was so worth it. He is very sweet, rather aloof during the day but will sleep with you every night. Loves rolling around on his back like a worm. Loves fighting with pencils instead of real cat toys. He hasn't had any health issues previously, the only thing I've had to do for him is get slow-feeder bowls or he eats and drinks too quickly, but those will come with him as well as a litter box and an automatic feeder. He has been a lovely guest and I wish so badly I had the time and space to keep him but unfortunately that was never the plan. My goal is that he never has to move families again.

Story
Artemis Newt is an all-black tabby cat who goes indoor and outdoor. When she was a kitten, you could see her black on black stripes. Now, she's just all black. Our daughter found her on Craigs list and brought her to us about 10 years ago. She has been spayed but not declawed. She does not pick or destroy interior items like carpet, blankets, furniture, etc. She does occasionally hunt small rodents, but not that often. She is not a loud cat and sometimes affectionate, but more solitary. She is very good with a litter box, but prefers to use the bathroom outside. She is healthy and is up to date on her shots. She is allergic to fleas and her hair will turn grey around her mouth when she has an allergic reaction, but the grey hair fades when she's clear. She's on the smaller side, weighing maybe 7-8 lbs. After 25 years, we are moving to a remote location. We want to rehome her because we don't feel that she will make the transition very well.
