Story
Scooter has been with our family for about 8 years. We adopted him when he was only a couple months old. He is a very friendly/lovey cat. He loves attention and being around the family. We have 3 kids and he is great with them. He shows much patience especially with the youngest one. Unfortunately our youngest who is almost one is very allergic to Scooter which is why we need to find him a new loving home. This is very sad for our family but we are hoping to find someone that’s ready to welcome him with open arms and a ton of love.

Story
Meet Trixie! An adorable 15 week old grey tabby who has been in foster care since she was a baby. Trixie is very shy but LOVES other cats. She starts purring as soon as she sees one of her older foster siblings. She prefers not to be held but will tolerate it if she has to in the comfort of a blanket or towel. Would make a great companion for a single cat. Trixie would not do well with young children and would prefer an adopter who has experience with shy kittens. Trixie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, tested negative for FIV & FeLV. An adoption application can be filled out at fosocas.org and when approved you will be contacted to set up a meet & greet at her foster home in Manahawkin.

Story
Lady and I met in what I would describe as a unique situation over 16 years ago. I was in the middle of our medical emergencies lecture when a young woman walked in, crying and holding a box of kittens. Apparently, her neighbors had moved away and decided to leave the kittens behind. Our professor paused the lecture that day to allow us all to pet the cats. By the end of the lecture, it was clear that all the kittens were going to be adopted-and they were. I took Lady home that day, and I've never once regretted it. She has been my best friend and fur baby for so long that it’s hard to picture life without her. But given my current situation, I have no choice. Lady was there to comfort me after my divorce. She was there when my mom passed away, and when I shut the world out, I still had her. I feel awful that I have to find her a new home, but I don’t see another way. Lady is loving, curious, and loyal-though she can be a little bossy (lol). This cat will love you, and you will know

Story
Hi! I am looking to rehome Pringles and her sister Penny. I will be listing both. I adopted them as kittens about 8 months old and I’ve had them for about 7 years. I unfortunately am allergic to them and have struggled greatly and do not want to give them up but my asthma has gotten worse and it’s beginning to effect my health to much. They are both sweet cats! Pringles is very friendly and loving. Penny is a little shy but she still loves to cuddle as well. She just gets scared easily. Neither of them have any behavioral or health problems. Last check up with the vet was last year. Penny is also an orange tabby, they look similar. Two photos are Pringles and two photos are Penny.

Story
We found Nene as a palm sized kitten on our doorstep during a heatwave in August of 2024 and we just couldn’t let him go after that. He is very active and loving, he loves to play with anyone who is willing. Unfortunately due to financial circumstances we had to move to somewhere that we can no longer keep him. We are looking for a home that will give him all the love and playtime that he needs. He responds to his name like a dog and loves snacks so he is very easy to acquaint with.

Story
The problem is, I have two cats. One male and one female. I have a problem with them sharing litter boxes. Although I have two very large boxes, of course I can’t keep him in only one he goes in both boxes. She needs no other cat and to have her own litter box. She has always peed in the box but won’t poop in the same box as him. They drive me crazy with that. I don’t know how to keep them apart. She is a very very affectionate and loving cat, well behaved, very mellow, loves to lay on your lap. She’s definitely a sweetheart! Needs to live in a home where there are no other cats.
