Story
Bob is one of two cats I have to rehome due to the fact that I need to move home to care for not just both of my parents, due to their age and escalating health issues, but also my son, who has many severe special needs of his own. Bob is about 15 to 16 years old and a Type 1 Diabetic, which is treated with insulin shots twice a day. He is showing signs of his age, but is still loving, and very much enjoys sitting and getting petted. However, as an old cat he is not a very active cat anymore, though he sometimes forgets that. He is very much a lover, not a fighter.

Story
Patience tippy taps her little white toes when you pet her; it is the cutest thing on the planet! She is a tad shy at first, but she is also sweet and loving and wants to be with people who love her. And Patience has quite a story to tell. During her spay surgery at a high-volume city shelter, someone suspected that Patience had pneumonia, so she was slated for euthanasia. An x-ray was taken, which showed no pneumonia but reportedly showed a *severely* enlarged heart. Her surgery was completed and she was posted as "rescue only," which meant if a rescue group didn't quickly pull her, she would be euthanized. The Pet Connection knows that even big-hearted kitties can live happy lives with medical support, so we pulled out all the stops and saved Patience with not even a moment to spare. What a relief to know she was safe! Then we got Patience's medical records, including her x-ray, and had three different veterinarians take a look. None of them could see an enlarged heart, pneumonia, or ANYTHING wrong with this sweet, sweet baby girl! Now this special girl (with her regular-sized heart and tippy tappy toes) needs an extra special home. She needs a home where she's a spoiled princess with soft, warm beds and good food. Patience also needs a home with patient people (see what we did there?) because she'll likely start exploring and playing with her toys soon after arrival but before she's ready to be petted and/or handled by her new humans. That's not asking too much now, is it? Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Patience. She's in Beloit, KS, but transport is available to the right home. (The Pet Connection directors frequently travel to and from the Kansas City metro and are happy to bring Patience along on one of their trips!)

Story
Nosey is a 5-year-old, female spayed grey tabby. Her dad passed away a few months ago and sweet Nosey needs a new home. She loves getting lots of attention and love, as her dad was retired and doted on her for her entire life. Her sister, Monkey, is also available. Monkey is 13 years old. She's a spayed calico mix and she has been front declawed. She is also very sweet and affectionate. They can be adopted into separate homes; however, Nosey does not like any other cats but Monkey, so Nosey will need to be in a single-cat household if these two are separated. Please call/text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you're interested in making Nosey and/or Monkey part of your family. They are in the KC metro but transport might be available to the right home.

Story
Fitzgerald is a very snuggly loving cat that loves cuddling and attention. Recently we moved and that was very stressful on him. We feel he’d benefit better being in a home he can have constant attention without other animals.

Story
TJ is the orange, and Smoky is the grey blue. Both are bonded, they’ve been together since birth. They’re both 8. Smoky is shy and skittish. He’ll warm up with treats, patients, and eventually belly rubs. It will, however, take a long time for him to feel comfortable. TJ is a typical orange cat. He’ll be shy at first but don’t worry he’ll warm up. He loves pets, kisses, and snuggles. Both of them are obsessed with food. TJ has an issue with spraying. Every time we go to the vet, they say that he’s fine. We haven’t gone in a year, but this issue has been going on for a while. I’ve only been in the family for a few years, and I’ve tried everything that we could afford. I just can’t keep up with him and a child financially. They’re would need to go to a home that is willing to be patient. A home where they can get the care that they need. One more thing, they can’t be around hyper or aggressive dogs. They have history with being attacked by their old families dogs.
