Story
My husband I acquired Tigger from the Harford County Shelter in 2010 when he was 3 months old. He has grown into smart mature male that is an over lover and loves his 1:1 attention from a loving female looking for a lap cat to keep you warm. He prefers women over men and grows to trust anyone. Children that are grown are preferred since he does not respond to rambunctious moves. My husband and him have a love/hate relationship where Tigger loves him if I am traveling but wants to be the Alpha of the family sleeping on his side of the bed when he is gone. My husband has suffered with asthma most of his life but has turned critical where he is on a ton of medication and inhalant's. Tigger is not his only allergy, but his highest prospect. We don't want to rehome our furr baby but we are past the point to save my husband. Tigger comes with a small special need. He has some kind of eye infection where he is treated with medication that is inexpensive. 9

Story
This was my cat for three years then my house flooded and my parents watched him while my house was being remodeled. Then my dad stole him. Ha. It was too cute. I couldn’t take him back. Unfortunately, my parents had to move into assisted living and it happened quickly. They can’t take Wilson and I am from out of state and can’t take him. He is a great cat. Indoor cat but he loves to sit on the deck in the sun. Very cute. He really is a sweet independent guy.

Story
I first had gotten sky & her brother Cody (not pictured) back in 2018 at my local animal shelter. These fur babies have been with me every. since. Sky is such a shy but lovable kitty she loves treats. She's pretty shy at first but she will open up with gentle love & care. She is frightened by new visitors & small hyper active children. She's a routine oriented kitty & does well in calm noise free places. She loves naps & loves when you talk to her in a baby voice. So soft & cuddly.

Story
She showed up to our house in the middle of the night and kept coming back everyday. Then she started slowly come into our home and just decided to move in and never leave. We would love to keep her shes such a sweet kitty but my son is extremely allergic. She seems like she was someones house cat, she is litter trained and very affectionate and gentle. Ive had a difficult time finding someone to adopt her and the only option was an org to take her but they said they would humanely euthanize her within a few weeks if she’s not adopted. We really don’t want that for, I’m sure we can find someone. Please help us get her to a loving home soon!

Story
Milo is a lovable, handsome, young guy who has been through a lot of changes in his short life. He was born in November of 2020. Now he is looking for someone who will love him and give him the forever home he needs to show just how much love he has to share. When Milo was only 2 years old, his brother and best cat friend passed away. After that, he tried his best to make the family dog his replacement friend but it just wasn't the same. Not long after that, a human family member became ill and Milo was taken to a shelter. All the noises at the shelter scared Milo but fortunately, he was only there for a day or two before he lucked out with a very kind, patient foster mom taking him home. When Milo arrived in his foster home, he was scared and has had to learn to trust again. Fortunately, his foster mom knew Milo had lots of love to give so with her patience and expert guidance from a cat behaviorist, Milo discovered the view from the top of the dresser was much better than the "obstructed view" beneath the dresser and pets from a human are really nice. Milo enjoys his foster mom's dog - when it isn't too crazy - so would probably be happiest in a home where he has a calm cat and/or dog buddy. He also needs a quiet home because loud, unexpected noises send him back to the "obstructed view." Older children in the home would be fine too if they are willing to let Milo come to them on his own terms. Milo also loves to talk so he will gladly tell you all about his day. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
