Story
Chanel is very affectionate and playful. She sits on your lap, comes when you call, loves playing games with you. She loves being chased. You can pick her up, roll her around, rub her belly, and she will never swipe. She allows baths, being brushed and having her nails cut. Great with kids. Chanel is litter-trained, will also go outside. She has only ever used the wood pellets. Traveled with her internationally and she did fine. When my baby nephew comes to visit, he will grab her fur or pat her head, and she just takes it and wanders around following him everywhere. Korean Shorthairs have personalities that are curious and high-energy and love people. Talkative, like a Siamese. Needs a home that has plenty of space, a family who does not mind her making noise. I socialized her well since she was a kitten. Chanel is really unlike any other cat I have met. She's the absolute sweetest. Cuddly, energetic and clever.

Story
Meet Uncle Rico – The Charismatic Purr Machine! ?? Born in May 2025, Uncle Rico is the life of the party and a total sweetheart! He’s a walking purr machine who loves his food and enjoys being the center of attention. While he’s not the biggest fan of being held, he absolutely adores pets and affection — he just likes to keep things on his own terms. Uncle Rico shares his foster home with Kip and Tina, and the three of them have a blast playing together, especially with the wand toy. They can be adopted separately, as a pair, or—best of all—as a trio if you’re ready for triple the love and fun! If you’re looking for a social, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining companion, Uncle Rico is ready to win your heart (and probably steal your snacks)! Story
Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes. We are hoping that this, plus our adoption fees being waived thanks to generous sponsors, will increase our chances of success. I am looking for that unique adopter who will love me and take care of me but will not expect a snuggly kitty in return. I am a pseudo scaredy cat. While I still have an instinct to hide when a person walks in the room, now I stop myself and do some stretching. It is very important to stretch before exercising. Also, I am bribable. So, when you want a little attention from me, I will take Churo from your fingers! I would prefer a home with another cat. While another cat in my home can only make life better, and help me come out of my shell, children and dogs are a big ICK. Seriously, cats rule! If you think that you could be that special someone for me, please learn more about me by filling out a no obligation cat adoption application. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Meet Tina – The Sassy Sweetheart! Tina is a beautiful brown tabby with adorable white boots, born in July 2025. She’s currently sharing her foster home with Kip and Uncle Rico, and the three of them get along wonderfully! They love playing together—especially when the wand toy comes out—but they’re not inseparable and can be adopted separately or as a pair (or Trio!). Tina is a lovely mix of independence and affection. She enjoys being held—but on her own terms (typical girl!). When she’s ready for attention, she’s quick to purr and will melt your heart with her charm. If you’re looking for a confident, affectionate kitten who knows what she wants and loves to play, Tina might be your perfect little companion! Milo is an extremely affectionate cat. He loves people and is so friendly. He’s house trained and never has accidents outside the litter box. He was adopted during COVID and I’ve started traveling quite often for work. I hate leaving him at home all the time! He deserve a loving home with a companion who loves to cuddle. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

Story
Milo is a lovable, handsome, young guy who has been through a lot of changes in his short life. He was born in November of 2020. Now he is looking for someone who will love him and give him the forever home he needs to show just how much love he has to share. When Milo was only 2 years old, his brother and best cat friend passed away. After that, he tried his best to make the family dog his replacement friend but it just wasn't the same. Not long after that, a human family member became ill and Milo was taken to a shelter. All the noises at the shelter scared Milo but fortunately, he was only there for a day or two before he lucked out with a very kind, patient foster mom taking him home. When Milo arrived in his foster home, he was scared and has had to learn to trust again. Fortunately, his foster mom knew Milo had lots of love to give so with her patience and expert guidance from a cat behaviorist, Milo discovered the view from the top of the dresser was much better than the "obstructed view" beneath the dresser and pets from a human are really nice. Milo enjoys his foster mom's dog - when it isn't too crazy - so would probably be happiest in a home where he has a calm cat and/or dog buddy. He also needs a quiet home because loud, unexpected noises send him back to the "obstructed view." Older children in the home would be fine too if they are willing to let Milo come to them on his own terms. Milo also loves to talk so he will gladly tell you all about his day. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
