Story
Adopted as a kitten in 2015 from Ark Valley Humane society in Buena Vista Colorado. For the last several years has been intermittently been urinating away from the litter box. Sometimes possibly due to bladder infections, but other times no apparent cause. Often perhaps due to visitors or temporary changes to routine. Will be best in a calm, quiet environment.

Story
Dexter found his way to my daughter through a friend. Dexter turned up on her back porch soaking wet. My daughter took him in and he quickly became an important part of her family. We believe Dexter is about 7 years old but we don't know for sure. Dexter needs a loving home. He is very friendly, sweet and likes attention. He is a bit large and has a very small voice. He has been living with my daughter, granddaughter and two other cats. Dexter is the dominate cat and he occasionally asserts that with the other two. It's not bad but he wants them to know he's the boss. This is why I say I don't know if he would be good with other cats. He really is fine with the two he lives with now. Unfortunately, my daughter passed away in February and we need new homes for her cats. I do believe Dexter would be fine as an only cat though he seems to enjoy his two companions. If you would like a cat who is a companion Dexter will fill the bill.

Story
Lewis is a sweet boy and loves to cuddle on his terms. He can be convinced to play if there is enough excitement and will play with other cats if they are already playing. He can get a bit rough while playing with other cats but is good with correction. He needs a new home that will allow him to be an indoor outdoor cat during the warm months. He is territorial and is most happy having free access to the outdoors. I have had some issues with him marking his territory in the house (this is the behavioral issue). He primarily "talks" only when he wants to go outside. The ideal home has a pet door or an outdoor patio he can come in an out of during rain or snow a covered porch is good too.

Story
Pickles is a very sweet cat. Someone dropped him off in our neighborhood, and it was very clear he has lived with and LOVES people.❤️ He loves our dog, but does not get along with our other cat at all. He is an older gentleman who comes when he is called, but would prefer to live in a household with just dogs, or just people. No cats! 🙁 He is a sweet heart and would LOVE to be someone's indoor only lap cat. We are currently only able to offer him a safe haven at night, but he deserves better. ❤️❤️ He deserves a family who can and will be able to love him during the day too. ❤️ He currently roams our neighborhood during the day, and comes home for dinner and a safe haven from the raccoons. He is one of the sweetest boys you will ever meet. ❤️❤️ We so wish he and our cat got along, but we know finding a different home is better for HIM. ❤️ He comes when you call him. He answers to Pickles. 🙂❤️❤️

Story
Jimmy is such a sweet boy. He gets along well with our family (2 small dogs) and is a happy cat. He is and indoor cat, and declawed on his front two paws, and was given to us as a gift. We love Jimmy but due to relocating and a new baby on the way looking to find a good new home for him.

These pups are in Olathe, Kansas too!

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Meet Bubba & Shiloh – The Sweetest Pair You’ll Ever Meet! Bubba is a gentle, 3-year-old orange tabby sweetheart who’s had a tough start to life, but you’d never know it by the way he loves people. He enjoys meeting new friends, getting pets, and curling up on your lap for snuggles. In his foster home, he shares a room—and a special bond—with Shiloh, an affectionate and playful 11-month-old grey tabby girl kitten who has chosen Bubba as her best friend and protector.   Shiloh can be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she’s an absolute cuddle bug. She loves playing with wand toys, lasers, or even entertaining herself when Bubba’s feeling mellow. Together, they make the perfect pair—spending their days lounging side-by-side and bird-watching from the window.   They’ve both been around dogs and do well with calm ones, though they might hiss a bit if a dog gets too rowdy. Bubba is comfortable being held, while Shiloh prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. These two are deeply bonded and would love a forever home together. Like all cats, they’ll need a gentle, slow introduction to settle into a new environment—but with a little patience, you’ll gain two loving, loyal companions. Bubba was born approximately April 21, 2022, and Shiloh was born approximately June 1, 2024. Their combined adoption fee $222.50, which includes $20 each for microchips. They are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  April 27, 2025, 10:31 pm

Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Meet Cleopatra, a 7-year-old beauty whose favorite activities are chasing wand toys or laser pointers, and gentle belly rubs. She is a perfect companion cat and will love being near you to keep you company. She is not fond of being picked up or sitting on laps but will rest her sweet head on you during naps.    Cleopatra will need some time to adjust because she has lost her original owner and then had to move a few times. Once she trusts you, she will make your patience worthwhile. She does well with the foster home’s cat-friendly dog and mellow cats.   She doesn’t like the activity at the shelter, so she is available for home visits only. She is eligible on a trial basis since she has been with Kitty City for a while. Cleopatra is hoping to meet her forever person soon! Cleopatra was born approximately June 23, 2017, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt 2, and the 2nd is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is microchipped.
