Story
Nemo, Nemo boy, big fat man, the list of his nicknames go on and on! He is loveable, but definitely has a mind and will of his own. I rescued the little 8 week old from under the Baptist church off of E Henry st. And Broad. He was cold and scared and so I took him in. That was 3 years ago! He has been the biggest bundle of joy in my house ever since. Even having to write this out breaks my heart. He is sweet, but like most orange tabby’s, can become overstimulated if he doesn’t have enough play time through the day. My girlfriend and I work extreme hours, which is a newer thing, and it’s become apparent that our absence is making life for little Nemo not as fulfilling or fun which has him bored and lashing out at our other cat. He has a tendency to be overly curious with other cats, and chases. Ideally Nemo would be a Lone Ranger, a one cat household if you will, but with the right companion I know he’d be a sweetheart. I really wanna find someone to love him, reach out if interested:)

Story
My husband and I came across Percy almost three years ago when she would come into our back yard. We started to feed her and Percy has always seen us a reliable source for shelter and food while living outdoors. We knew she probably spent most of her life outdoors and wanted to respect her space. In March of 2023 she had a kitten and felt safe enough to have her kitten by our home and we took them both in. She has responded well to patience, space, and love as she adjusted to our home. We have three other kitties whom she gets along with. Percy is still working on trusting people and would do better adjusting to a new home than in a shelter. She is almost 3 years old and has parts of her that is self-reliant, a survivor, playful, guarded, cautious, and snuggly. Because my husband and I are military, we can only have two kitties knowing we travel a lot. We hope to find a new family that will provide her with love, patience while she adjusts, playtime, treats, and consistency.

Buddy is a friendly six month old gray kitten. He loves to cuddle. He needs to be neutered, but he’s doing well using the litter box. His shots are up-to-date. He’s shy at first but friendly when he starts to trust you.

Story
Tigeressa (along with her sister Chica) are both looking for their forever homes. They were adopted and became loving companions to their owner; a single woman living alone who battled multiple forms of cancer. Chica and Tigeressa remained lovingly by her side throughout every stage of her battle. They were constant loyal companions to their owner and always brought her comfort. Tragically, their owner unexpectedly passed away during the summer of 2024. Along with her family members, Chica and Tigeressa were heartbroken and distraught over their beloved owner’s sudden passing. Their owner’s daughter made many efforts to merge Chica and Tigeressa with her own 3 cats and have them all blend together; however, it has not been successful. Tigeressa was adopted as a kitten and is around 2 years old. She takes a little longer to warm up to people and is looking for someone with patience to give her the time to come out of her shell.

Story
This stunning little tabby kitten showed up on one of our volunteer’s doorstep in the cold of Winter, looking for a safe place to lay her paws. So we don’t know much about her past, but it seems safe to assume she was someone’s pet at one time and then was abandoned because she quickly turned into a loving, sweet, playful, curious little being. Jackie is estimated at about 6 months old, is fully vetted; and has great house manners (she uses her litter box faithfully). We are so lucky to have taken this great kitten into our program where she can find her furever home. She seems to love every cat she has met, so she would be a great companion to your existing cat/kitten or can also thrive as your one and only. She is grateful to be back in a home and off the streets, so we are looking for an INDOOR ONLY home for this little nugget. If you are interested in adopting Jackie, please fill out our required online application via this link: https://form.jotform.com/231967731104152 For the safety of all of our cats, a home visit is required on all adoptions, but we make this as unobtrusive and convenient (to you) as possible. AAC’s Adoption Program is new and growing, but right now we are VERY limited on space. So when you adopt Jackie you not only save her life, but open up a space so that we can save another cat. Hilton Head Island and its surrounding areas are amidst a crises with abandoned cats. We need to work together as a community to help these beautiful animals.

These pups are in Savannah, Georgia too!

Dottie is a lovely 5 month old spayed female kitten available for adoption. She's current on vaccines for a year and FIV/FeLV negative. Typically we like to adopt kittens out in pairs but Dottie is perfectly fine as a solo adoption, she prefers to have all the attention to herself. She's very friendly and loves people. Dottie is an indoor only kitten and cannot be declawed March 3, 2025, 10:11 pm

Story
Coco is a lovely young adult cat (estimate 2 years).  She was found abandoned outside a motel with 5 newborn kittens.  Her kittens have all long since been adopted.  Coco is very friendly, but she doesn't like other cats, and we think that's why she hasn't had any interest.  She will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a single cat though!March 7, 2025, 10:37 pm

Story
Hi, My name is Marty. I love wrestling, chasing my siblings, and playing with a ball with a bell in it. I am kind and get along with other cats and dogs! I enjoy naps with my humans and can see myself enjoying binge watching our latest shows on a Sunday together. I have unique paws. The bottoms are all black, and you will only see them when you rub my belly. I am an unusually cuddly sweet boy and really enjoy being with humans and staring into their eyes. If you would like to meet me, please fill out the pre-adoption application at savealifepets.org
