Story
Ernest is a 19 month old kitty. He was adopted at six weeks. He has been an outdoor cat and loves it. I am being forced by the HOA to surrender him. I have tried to transition him to being an indoor cat, but have been unsuccessful. Sadly, I need to rehome him. Even though an outdoor cat, he is very friendly and comes in often to eat and keep company with the family. He is extremely sociable and likes to cuddle and be held. He does not scratch or bite, and is great with kids and visitors . He cries when he wants to go out, but other than that keeps his thoughts to himself. He is a beautiful and charming tabby, and makes a great family pet!

Story
Found her as a kitten a little over two years ago, she's been here ever since. Looking for a home with no other pets to bring her into to see if that will help her loosen up. She is often vocal and bratty, but can be affectionate once she warms up to you. Must be restated, Meeko does not get along with other cats and is hostile towards dogs.

Story
I got this cat in hopes that he could fill the void for myself and my kids after losing my dog of 13 years.. My children are young and already require alot of my attention . I thought having a cat would teach my oldest some responsibility but I think she’s still very young. I also work a lot and dont have the time the cat deserves . I want him to be spoiled and happy and I realized I am cheating him out of that . He is a great cat who loves cuddles . Ziggy will be a year April 3rd

Story
We took tiger lilly in towards the end of December. We were told she had kittens about a year ago and suddenly didn’t like being around any cats spent most of her time in isolation. We met with tiger Lilly and we instantly loved her even though she was nervous we still wanted to try and provide her with the best home. Since we have brought her home she spends all day under our daughter’s bed she will occasionally come out to eat at night but if someone walks she runs back under the bed. I feel really bad for her and do not like the life she is currently living it’s not fair to her or our kids. She is 5 years old from what we were told. The picture is from the one time she did decide to come out about a month ago. I believe she is best suited with a very small household no other pets

Story
Allow me to introduce Cheeto, a resilient feline with a heart as big as his journey. Despite a rocky beginning, he embodies the spirit of perseverance and resilience that defines his character. Abandoned and left to fend for himself, Cheeto was discovered covered in oil, a symbol of neglect and abandonment. Fortunately, a compassionate neighbor intervened, bringing him into the care of his foster mom, who became his guiding light on the path to recovery. Cheeto's capacity for love knows no bounds, and he thrives on the warmth of human affection. A gentle soul, he finds solace in the simple pleasures of life, content to observe the world from his vantage point. Whether basking in the sun or curling up in a cozy corner, he embraces each moment with quiet grace. While he enjoys the company of other cats and finds joy in playful interactions, Cheeto is equally content in his own company. His adaptable nature allows him to find happiness wherever he goes, grateful for the love and care he receives each day. Despite his remarkable resilience, Cheeto does have some special needs that require attention. A heart condition necessitates medication twice daily, a small price to pay for the boundless love he offers in return. Fortunately, Georgia Heartland generously supports his medical care, ensuring that his needs are met without placing a burden on his future family. In addition to his medication regimen, Cheeto follows a special diet that consists exclusively of dry food, catering to his unique dietary requirements. While he may have had some challenges in the past, including a propensity for spraying, Cheeto has made tremendous strides in his journey toward healing and relaxation. As Cheeto eagerly awaits his second chance at a loving family, his foster parents stand ready to share insights into his gentle nature and remarkable resilience. With a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be dimmed, Cheeto is poised to bring joy and companionship to his forever home, enriching the lives of those fortunate enough to welcome him into their hearts. ##990677##

Story
Hi, I'm Thorin and I'm a cat's cat! What does that mean? Well, I love the company of other cats but I'm not so sure about people. I will come out and make myself known to the people but I am very skittish of people. My foster mom has gotten me to trust by pieces of chicken, yum! I have come around just after a couple of months. I still dash sometimes but I now am comfortable and go to my foster mom to ask for pets. I have a very nervous behavior and that translates with a leaky eye when I am stressed. It clears up when I am calm, but new changes, brings it back. Nothing medically dangerous to my health. I am a ladies man and do better with other female cats. Right now I am in love with my foster sister, Elena! We could go together! She makes me so playful and like a kitten. She is very extroverted and loves to be around people, and I love to be around her. We would make the perfect pairApply at nchsrescue.org/adopt
