Meet Moe!
Moe was born in January of 2024. He is a white and black bicolor kitten with a harlequin pattern. He was left in a dog crate at a local park with his mom, two siblings and another cat who we believe may be his auntie. We don't know his history, but we do hope for a brighter future for him!
Soon after being rescued Moe and his siblings developed an upper respiratory infection that was treated. While they were sick a respiratory panel was done, and the results indicated they had FHV-1 (feline herpes virus). This is very common in kittens with weak immune systems. He and his siblings received anti-viral meds and their symptoms went away. As he grows older, his immune system will get stronger.
Due to this finding, we consider Moe a special needs cat. His symptoms of sneezing, runny eyes or nasal discharge may flare up again and maybe never but having immune supplements, good quality food and a stress-free environment will help him greatly. We are hopeful that this will not keep him from finding his furever family and home.
Moe is so loving. He loves to be cuddled up in your arms with his head resting on your shoulder. He looks at you with so much love, so very touching!!! He also gives love nips and kisses. He and his sibling Marty love to wrestle and chase each other around. He loves feather wands and squeaky cat toys. Moe likes to nestle under your armpit and sleep with you. With proper introduction, Moe would do well with a small cat friendly dog.
Moe is vaccinated, neutered, rabies and microchipped.
