Story
We rescued Charlie 8 years ago when she was just a couple months old. She was available for adoption with her siblings, but after falling asleep in our arms during one of our visits we knew she was the one and have loved her since. She grew up with our oldest and has been with us since. She’s very talkative, playful, and affectionate. At this time our circumstances have changed and we are not able to give her the attention she needs and we’d love to see her go to a family that can give her just then. She’s a cat that wants to be in the mix when she’s not sunbathing on the window sill.

Story
Rocky is a sweet little boy cat that we found in our apartment complex as a stray. We have tried introducing him to our cats but they are not having anything to do with it. No fault of Rockys. He is playful, sweet and loving. He just needs a good forever home.

Story
She was rescued from my backyard and was brought in my home due to the change in weather. She is very sweet and not shy at all. I really would keep her but my lease won't allow. I can only keep her for 30 days. Anyone interested I am willing to spay, microchip, and get her shots at my expense.

Story
Lois was born in February 2018 (~7 years old). We adopted her at 8 months old in October 2018 from East County Animal Shelter. She is a playful cat and very friendly with people, although she is shy around other animals. Lois is a healthy, loving, litter-trained cat with all necessary immunizations and was spayed at eight months old. She is a curious cat who gets along with people, but is quite shy around all other animals. She has lived with another cat briefly and was quite independent and shy, but got along just fine and eventually warmed up to the other cat when she grew curious of how he opened cupboards. She is a very brave cat, but is scared of large dogs. She has tried to befriend a small cat while on a walk. Lois is an indoor cat, but is very comfortable outside and gets a lot of sunlight. I’m happy to provide her records, toys, treats, and an automatic litter box.

Story
Hello, I’m ELMO! My foster family gave me the name, Elmo, because I’m little, spunky, and super cute (I’m not red, though…I’m a brown tiger)!!! I’m also special because I have Wobbly Cat Syndrome, also known as cerebellar hypoplasia. This will not affect my ability to be like a regular kitten/cat, (please view the video posted on my profile), and it will not progress or need any extra veterinary care. I am still a vibrant, lovable purr baby and always will be. Here is a link to information about CH: https://vetmed.tamu.edu/news/pet-talk/wobbly-cat-syndrome/ About 2 weeks ago, I magically appeared in a guardian angel’s garden, squawking loudly because I was so hungry (no signs of any mom or siblings). I was tiny, dirty, and famished. My guardian angel fed me, bathed me, fed me, and fed me some more. I love her so much because she loved me, cuddled me, and made me so comfortable. In the 10 days I was in her care, I gained enough weight to be able to be transferred to a Safe Cat Foundation foster mom. Since then, I have been dewormed, vaccinated, and neutered, and now I am searching for my perfect forever family. I am adorable, cuddly, curious, daring, and the perfect kitten. I am also 100% litter box trained. I get along with people, cats, and dogs. I love to explore around the house, play with my toys (especially a special rainbow-colored wand), wrestle with human hands, and when I settle down, I love to snuggle. Please reach out to my foster mom, Mary, at 925-788-4792 if you would like to add me, ELMO, to your family!

Story
How is this darling kitten still with us? There's a picture of Favorite next to the word "outgoing" in dictionaries. This dude is stuffed full of personality and fun. He gets the most attention at every single adoption event. He and his sister SHINE every single tine. There isn't a mean bone in his body, he loves everyone and is just an outstanding feline citizen! We're not supposed to have favorites in rescue, but, by this little ones name you can see he's one of our all time favorites! Favorite came to us with his mom and littermates when she gave birth on the sidewalk in a neighborhood in Bay Point. Working with another rescue we reached out and agreed to take so we've had them since the day they were born. The entire litter is incredibly sweet and well rounded but they are truly the funniest, active, playful and nutty kittens we've had in a LOOOOOOOOONG time! They will not be adopted into a home without a companion because they desperately need a buddy to help get some of this energy out with! Favorite, like all of our other cats and kittens, has been dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FELV tested, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. As sad as it will be this guy is 100% ready for his forever home! He is immediately available and will be with us at our PetSmart adoption event this Sunday, December 22nd -- 2891 Ygnacio Valley Road Walnut Creek from 11a to 3p Send us an email at dirtypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application to get pre approved!
