Story
Peach was born on February 27, 2024, and is either the 2nd or 3rd oldest of her siblings. Despite being an orange cat she is very smart, hogging all the brain cells from her twin sister Potato. She LOVES to climb up to the highest places, with her favorite spots being the fridge and the china cabinet as they give her the best views in the house. Despite being small she can be very demanding when it comes to cuddles, and usually prefers to be with her sisters or up next to the humans when not adventureing. Out of all her siblings she has the strongest meow and is not opposed to voicing her opinions. She is also house-trained.

Story
Potato Tot was born on February 27, 2024, and is either the 2nd or 3rd oldest of her siblings. Like most oranges, she is lacking a few brain cells as her twin sister seemed to have taken them all. But that doesn't stop her from DEMANDING cuddles! Little Potato lives off love and affection, always wanting to be either carried like a baby or on top of your shoulders like a little supervisor in training (or a parrot). Her current hobbies are playing inside boxes, her favorite box being by the kitchen door, and jumping into your arms for her daily dose of scratches and pets. She can be very vocal from time to time as she likes to be with others.

Story
Chestnut is a beautiful, affectionate, wonderful boy. I estimate that he’s about a year and a half old. I took him in 4 months ago when my big-hearted friend was unable to care for him and her 2 other rescue cats, which I am also rehoming. Chestnut loves belly rubs, is an enthusiastic purrer, and will want to be near you but won’t commandeer your lap. He’s playful and loves to chase and cuddle with other cats. A home with one of more active cats would be ideal. He and Beau (pictured and also listed) would make a great pair. The adoption fee will be completely refunded after he’s lived with you for 6 months.

Story
Lois was born in February 2018 (~7 years old). We adopted her at 8 months old in October 2018 from East County Animal Shelter. She is a playful cat and very friendly with people, although she is shy around other animals. Lois is a healthy, loving, litter-trained cat with all necessary immunizations and was spayed at eight months old. She is a curious cat who gets along with people, but is quite shy around all other animals. She has lived with another cat briefly and was quite independent and shy, but got along just fine and eventually warmed up to the other cat when she grew curious of how he opened cupboards. She is a very brave cat, but is scared of large dogs. She has tried to befriend a small cat while on a walk. Lois is an indoor cat, but is very comfortable outside and gets a lot of sunlight. I’m happy to provide her records, toys, treats, and an automatic litter box.

Story
Hello, I’m ELMO! My foster family gave me the name, Elmo, because I’m little, spunky, and super cute (I’m not red, though…I’m a brown tiger)!!! I’m also special because I have Wobbly Cat Syndrome, also known as cerebellar hypoplasia. This will not affect my ability to be like a regular kitten/cat, (please view the video posted on my profile), and it will not progress or need any extra veterinary care. I am still a vibrant, lovable purr baby and always will be. Here is a link to information about CH: https://vetmed.tamu.edu/news/pet-talk/wobbly-cat-syndrome/ About 2 weeks ago, I magically appeared in a guardian angel’s garden, squawking loudly because I was so hungry (no signs of any mom or siblings). I was tiny, dirty, and famished. My guardian angel fed me, bathed me, fed me, and fed me some more. I love her so much because she loved me, cuddled me, and made me so comfortable. In the 10 days I was in her care, I gained enough weight to be able to be transferred to a Safe Cat Foundation foster mom. Since then, I have been dewormed, vaccinated, and neutered, and now I am searching for my perfect forever family. I am adorable, cuddly, curious, daring, and the perfect kitten. I am also 100% litter box trained. I get along with people, cats, and dogs. I love to explore around the house, play with my toys (especially a special rainbow-colored wand), wrestle with human hands, and when I settle down, I love to snuggle. Please reach out to my foster mom, Mary, at 925-788-4792 if you would like to add me, ELMO, to your family!

Story
Adopted her and her brother from the shelter 14 years ago. She is geriatric and extremely shy. She thrives in a calm loving environment. She is exceptionally calm and affectionate with those she trusts. I have to move and cannot provide her the peaceful life she deserves. Hoping someone will take her in and shower her with affection for her remaining years. She is fully house trained and enjoys sitting in the sun in our enclosed backyard. She prefers to sleep curled against my chest.

Story
Are you an independent person? If so you will likely understand an independent cat. Pip is your girl. She is smart, independent, and sensitive. Sound like you? You might be a great match for this adorable, furry soul. Respect one another, allow space, and connect when it's mutual and you will be on good terms with her. Pip will seek out a pet every now and then on her terms. She wants her alone time and doesn't want to be stressed by too much activity or noise. She is fostered with other pets and it's a bit much for her. She will probably do best as a solo pet. Pip needs to be respected and honored in terms of her wishes for closeness—or not. She is happiest when in charge of her destiny. She enjoys playing. Pip seeks out affection and purrs contentedly when held after a nap, but on her terms and she'll let you know when she is done. Her gentle hiss is not mean way, it's how she communicates. She is fairly accepting of strangers and will probably connect to a new family quickly if you are patient and savvy to her. Pip is a great cat but needs to be honored and cherished as an independent creature. We estimate Pip was born on September 1, 2023. Kitty Bio #348LRa-Pi.   If you're interested in adopting this or another of our cats, please fill out our adoption questionnaire at http://icraeastbay.org/adopt/how-to/.February 4, 2025, 3:27 pm
