Loki (A141360) is a 5-year-old DSH who weighed 14.5 pounds on intake! 03/10/26 This handsome boy is Loki! Loki was surrendered to the shelter due to litterbox issues, urinating outside the box. He has been seen by the vet for this issue (his urinalysis came back clear of infection). He will need to remain on a prescription urinary diet for life. While at the shelter, Loki has used his litterbox. When introducing him to a new home, it will be important to provide him with multiple litter boxes and to initially isolate him in a small room, then gradually introduce him to the rest of the home, room by room. It is also important that his litterboxes are not in a high-traffic area in the home. Loki was described as a shy but friendly cat who may enjoy a child-free home environment to help him feel most at ease. Loki was said to get along with other animals, but due to his urinary issues, he may do best as a single pet. Loki was previously allowed to go outdoors, but we would like to remind the public that the leash law applies to our feline friends.
