Story
Scotty is an 8-year-old mix of Schnauzer and Poodle who has reached his mature weight of 12-15 pounds, and because of his petite size, children in the home should be older than ten years or have experience handling small dogs. Scotty wears a long coat of grey, black and white which will need to be groomed every couple of months so that he’s looking his very best!  Scotty’s story is a sad one; he was abandoned in his home by his owner.  Can you imagine? Luckily, though, a Good Samaritan found out and rescued him. Scotty’s a sweet boy who enjoys being around people and other dogs! He loves sitting in your lap or just being held. He can be a funny fella, too, but underneath the fun, you can see he’s longing for a caring family who will love him and never leave him behind. (ME, 8/26/24)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption/Transport:  $250.00September 5, 2024, 10:35 pm

He  is 11 months old and weighs around 26 pounds and this seems to be near his ideal body weight.  He is up-to-date with his vaccinations and neutered.  He is young, active and playful.  He is living with 2 other foster dogs and would do well with another canine companion.  He would not do well with young children. We do not know if he can live with cats.  Sheldon is an active, playful puppy with lots of energy.  He would do well with an active family.   Sheldon has been learning and doing better, however, he is still reactive on the leash to other people and animals until he meets them.  Ongoing training will be necessary as he grows out of puppy and into young adult.  He is eager to please and willing to learn.  This is a dog that you can shape and mold into the perfect lifetime companion.  It is both smart and intelligent.  Sheldon will be the perfect pet you can create.   He can live as long as another 18 years or more.
