Story
Animal Profile: Honey is an adorable, scruffy Schnauzer mix that weighs 30lbs. She is estimated to be between 2-3 years old. Honey was found wandering as a stray in Del Rio, TX. Fortunately for Honey, she was scooped up by our rescue partners and was able to get comfy in a foster home vs a scary, crowded shelter environment. Honey is as sweet as her name; she is friendly with all people and gets along great with other dogs. We think she will be a wonderful addition to a family here in the PNW! Foster Update: Honey is a big adventure girl in a little body! For a little girl, Honey has got some spunk! Miss Honey is working on all forms of training but is rather food motivated and a lot of fun to work with. When she picks up something that is not a toy or starts to annoy the resident dog she responds well to my corrections. Honey needs a little bit more than your average walk and enjoys doing zoomies around the apartment. She will settle down in and out of the crate and is good at entertaining herself. She plays nicely with other dogs and will put herself in her crate when she's tired. Honey can be vocal out in the world but is generally quiet in the house and could be suitable for an apartment with active owners. Honey did well with the cats in her temp foster home. Recently she has been asking for affection but doesn’t totally understand getting pets yet. No first time dog owners, please. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue Center, our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 11/10/24 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.December 15, 2024, 12:54 am
