Story
Meet Madison Madison is a sweet Schnauzer/Husky mix who is approximately 2 years old and weighs 37 pounds. She came to us from a shelter near the border of Mexico with her 4 babies that were all adopted out. Now is her chance to find her forever home! Madison (Maddy) is a sweet and gentle girl. She has a brief warm up period of a day or so until she know she can trust you, then she is social and friendly. She loves her treats and that is the way to get her to trust you more. She has the cutest mohawk! She plays well with the other dogs in her social group as you can see in the video. Madison is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. If you would like to add this mohawked cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here - https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Services our dogs receive prior to adoption: Chagas Testing Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate) All age-appropriate vaccines Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Spay/neuter surgery Microchip *The breed(s) listed are guessed and based on the dog's physical appearance* Madison tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. For more information, please review here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/chagas

Story
My name is Bruno, and I am 1.5 years old, Schnauzer/Shih Tzu mix, who weighs about 15 pounds. I found myself in need of rescue along with my siblings, mom and dad, after we weren’t receiving proper care. We arrived at rescue likely never groomed and we all were extremely thin. I can be a little shy at first, as I am still learning how to trust new people and situations, but I come around quickly. I love other dogs, especially ones who play, and would benefit from having a playful friend in my forever home. I am still a puppy at heart, but I am doing very well with potty training and am a good boy in my crate. I am practicing gentle playing with my beds and toys, but sometimes I get a little too excited. When I’m not playing, I love to cuddle and get attention, head scratches are my favorite! I am also an avid squirrel hunter so if you have me, your yard and trees, (I will climb trees to scare those critters away) will be protected! I’m a fun-loving guy who can’t wait for my own forever family! I am neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and has had a vet evaluation. My adoption fee is $300.00. If interested, please submit an application from this website. ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to youi  Thank you. December 17, 2024, 12:37 pm

Story
Meet Benji, the schnauzer who believes that rules are optional and nap time is sacred. He’s got a lot of personality packed into his little body—especially when he’s stealing slippers right after his foster showers (seriously, how does he know?). When he’s not on a mission to collect footwear, Benji loves to zoom around the house with his trusty lamb toy or bring it to you for a totally serious game of fetch. He’s a social butterfly, getting along with both cats and dogs like it’s his job, but don’t even think about disturbing his beauty sleep in the morning—he’s not a fan of early mornings. If you need a loyal cuddle buddy for your bed, he’s your guy! Apply to meet Benji today! Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Paxton is a 2 year old, 15 pound mini-Schnauzer.  We think Paxton was dumped because he is an Alpha dog who is dog selective.  I put that he needs to be the only dog in the home because he does not get along with most male dogs but loves the females. It is strange because I watch him play so well with some male dogs and other males dogs he just cannot tolerate.  He is just fine with all of the females. He is not aggressive in any way.  He did bark relentlessly at me when I first met him but that quickly changed later that day and now he is my friend.  He allows me to put pills in his mouth and handle him in any way.  He is just fearful when meeting new people.  If you choose Paxton please be prepared to let him decompress in your home so his fears will go away. He is crate trained but does not like to be in there. He walks very well on a leash. If you are interested in adopting Paxton, please submit an application on the website below.  You are welcome to call me if you have any questions.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE.
