Story
Matt can't see you but he sure wants someone to see him! This sweet, blind, guy deserves to finally have a wonderful home to spend his golden years! He is very calm and quiet and he does take a little bit to feel at home, but he becomes very affectionate and playful and he really does bond with his people. He's such a sweet boy, and VERY potty trained! Due to him being blind, he takes a little bit to comfortable in his surroundings. Once he figures out his surroundings he likes to explore, curl up with his person, and just chill around everyone! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

Story
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies and other core vaccinations. Please complete an adoption application at https://www.asvtexas.org/adoption-application.html. Kiara is a wonderful tiny spunky girl. She loves to play with her large German Shepherd foster brother. Her favorite place to be is in your arms, she can sit for an hour or more while at a computer or watching TV, she only weighs 7 pounds. She is a little shy meeting new people but will become your shadow before you know it. Kiara knows her name and sometimes gets called Kiki when she is doing something extra cute!  We are working on potty training but at least when she has an accident it is very small.  She loves to go outside and is surprisingly fast for how little she is.  She also has enjoyed playing with four other foster puppies lately that are a little bigger than she is but she can keep them in check and learning dog manners, super cute.  She really hates to be in her kennel and can be very vocal about it but rarely barks when not in it.  She never sheds which I think is amazing and has never had a haircut, so I put she is hypoallergenic.ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. No one takes a salary so all donations and grants are used for the rescue animals. February 11, 2025, 11:52 am
