Story
RESCUE ONLY: Hello there, I`m Lady. My years have given me wisdom and a gentle soul. Life hasn`t been kind to me lately, my health isn`t what it used to be. I`m not as spry as those young pups, but I`ve got a heart full of love to give. I dream of a warm home, where I can rest my weary bones. I promise to be the best companion, to listen to your stories, and to greet you with a wagging tail. I may need some extra care, but I promise you, rescuing me will fill your life with unconditional love.

Story
Hi! I'm Prim! I'm an approximately 1 year old, female, Schnauzer/Terrier mix. I was surrendered to the shelter on 12/27/2024 because my owner could not care for me. I am a loving and affectionate girl who enjoys the company of dogs my size and people of all ages. I haven't met dog's bigger than me, but if you have another dog at home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I am a smart girl and appear to be crate trained. I will need some help learning to master the skill of walking on a leash as well as house training. Get me on a routine and I'm sure to get house training down in a snap! My adoption fee is $125 and that includes my spay, microchip, rabies vaccination and basic boosters! I am heart worm negative! If you are interested in adopting me, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch to schedule meet and greets with approved applicants.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. December 27, 2024, 3:48 pm

Hello, I'm Pearl! I'm an approximately 1 year old, Schnauzer/Terrier mix. I was surrendered on 12/27/2024 because my owners could not take care of me. I am sweet and sassy and all around fun to be around. I do well with dogs my size and people of all ages. I have not yet met a dog bigger than me, but if you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I am learning to walk on a leash and basic commands. I am crate trained but am not a huge fan of being in it. I am looking for a family with lots of love to give! Story
Odin is a Schnauzer/Border Collie mix and almost six months old. He is a cute, playful, energetic, sweet and loving dog. Odin loves to play, go for walks and run in the yard. Once he gets enough playtime, he will snuggle up to you and love a tummy rub. He would be ideally placed in a home that goes for walks, has a yard to roam, and a bonus would be a dog playmate. There is little to no shedding, he is great in the car and behaves well in Petsmart around other people and dogs. He is up to date with his vaccinations and flea treatment. We are currently working on his skin allergy with a local vet; other than that he is healthy. Update: he was neutered Dec 11th, just in time for Christmas! Please be aware we will due full due diligence on any home to ensure Odin does not fall into the wrong hands!

Story
Meet Oaks!Oaks is an adorable, 1 year old Schnauzer mix weighing about 40 lbs and nearly fully grown. He’s still learning house manners, so his adopter should be prepared to puppy-proof the home. With patience and a gentle approach, Oaks is ready to learn and thrive. He loves chewing on bones and toys, or playing a game of fetch. An ideal home for Oaks would be one where someone can spend quality time with him. He’s energetic and enjoys play. He also enjoys cuddling and belly rubs. He has been comfortable around dog-savvy cats, although more timid ones may be a bit overwhelmed by his playful nature. He plays well with dogs 30 lbs and up but can be a bit rough with smaller ones. A fenced yard and a playful dog companion would be great for him, as he respects a 5-foot fence and loves to romp around. He’s responsive when called and eager to please during training sessions, although he’s still mastering housebreaking.Oaks is taken outside first thing in the morning, every few hours during the day, and before bedtime. He wears a belly band during the day to help with house training and needs a fenced yard for bathroom breaks, as he doesn’t go on a leash. He has learned to ring a doorbell to ask to go outside. While he hasn’t been around children, he’s expected to do well with kids 8 and up who understand how to keep their belongings out of reach. Oaks is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Nebula and her sister Nova came to us when their mama, Starr, was in labor. The babies were born August 8, 2024. Mama was a small wired hair terrier that weighed 10lbs. Both puppies look just like mama, only Nova is gray and white (her sister and mom were black and white) Nova was the first born. Nova is a little more cautious and shy compared to her sister. She likes to assess her situation unlike Nebula that jumps right in. Nebula is fearless and loves to play with other dogs. Nebula is also a little more affectionate. Both girls have done well with potty training. A perfect addition to your holidays!
