Story
Uncle Matt can't see you but he sure wants someone to see him! This sweet, blind, guy deserves to finally have a wonderful home to spend his golden years! He is a little cautious/timid especially with new folks but he doesn't growl - he just freezes if he is fearful. He is learning to live his best life and do fun things like snuggle on the couch! He doesn't mind other calm dogs, but he doesn't want to be around rowdy ones. He is a mellow guy. Uncle Matt just wants a forever, stable home where he can relax! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

Story
Meet Scheana Dustie, a sweet 5-year-old, 22-pound Schnauzer who came to CAMO as a stray. Scheana Dustie is shy and timid, but beneath that gentle exterior is a loving heart just waiting to blossom. She needs a patient adopter who can give her the time and consistency she needs to come out of her shell and build confidence. Scheana Dustie is both dog- and cat-friendly and would do best in an adult-only home where her need for space is respected. She loves running around the yard, and if she's comfortable with you, she enjoys pets and affection. With plenty of love and understanding, Scheana Dustie will flourish into the loyal companion she's meant to be. If you're looking for a gentle soul to nurture, Scheana Dustie is the one for you! Adoption fee is: $350 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Est. DOB: 4/1/2023, male, neutered, chipped, up to date on vaccines, schaunzer/chi mix, 15 lbs   Niner is a feisty little schnauzer, chihuahua mix who is very adamant about getting his human's attention. He loves to be the center of attention, and is motivated by praise and treats. He is outgoing and doesn't mind jumping into his human's lap...many times if necessary. He waits patiently for as his food bowl is being prepared, does not steal food from his foster siblings, and does well in a kennel overnight. Niner is familiar with a doggie door, he barks when there's something to bark at (like the neighbor dog is out, or the doorbell rings) and he will be on your lap the moment you sit down. Niner was found running in and out of traffic on a busy street and it took well over an hour of patience to finally get a slip lead on him. Once he was brought into the house, it was clear he just wanted love. He has the best expressions and his personality is over the top. If he needs attention, he's not above using his human as a springboard. And he can easily jump a couple of feet off the ground straight up. Please consider making this gorgeous boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at :   Apply Now (almosthomepetrescue.org) $200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates. If transporting out of state, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes October 16, 2024, 11:33 pm
