Story
Hello, my name is Nellie! I weigh about 11 lbs. I’m sweet enough to make your heart melt and well-behaved enough to impress your friends. I'm the perfect mix of cuddly and sporty. I enjoy the company of other dogs of all energy levels and sizes, but I'd also be happy flying solo. I'm friendly with humans as long as they don't assume they can pick me up when we just met. (As if!) I can be sweet and calm indoors, but don’t let that fool you; I’m also a bundle of energy who loves to run and play outside! You’ll often find me zooming around like a furry tornado, and I have a special talent for standing and walking on my two hind legs. Think of me as your very own Cirque du Soleil canine! I can be a great walking, jogging, or hiking companion. I promise to keep up. My foster mom has taken me on 3 mile walk/jogs and I still have energy to spare. The cherry on top is that I'm low maintenance! I can entertain myself outside for hours - running, sunbathing, and meditating. I'm potty trained, not too vocal, and hardly shed! If you’re looking for a playful partner to brighten your days and a cozy one to sleep with at night, I’m just a paw away, waiting for you to bring me home. My adoption fee is $250. It includes all my vaccines. I'm spayed and microchipped. Fill out an app at: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQDecember 20, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
Pierce is a good looking boy straight from the streets of Houston. He is a wonderful, funny boy when he trusts you but trust is not something that comes easy for him. He has obviously been let down by humans his entire life. He is currently living with our trainer, who is helping him understand that humans can be good and trusted. Pierce is just about 2 years old, 60 pounds and maybe a schnauzer/husky mix. He needs an experienced handler who can continue to help him build h is confidence and trust in humans. Pierce is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Pierce is currently heartworm positive but we will continue to cover treating him through the slow kill method. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this handsome guy, just fill out the appropriate application found at scoutshonor.org.     Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs November 5, 2024, 1:18 am

Story
Est. DOB: 4/1/2023, male, neutered, chipped, up to date on vaccines, schaunzer/chi mix, 15 lbs   Niner is a feisty little schnauzer, chihuahua mix who is very adamant about getting his human's attention. He loves to be the center of attention, and is motivated by praise and treats. He is outgoing and doesn't mind jumping into his human's lap...many times if necessary. He waits patiently for as his food bowl is being prepared, does not steal food from his foster siblings, and does well in a kennel overnight. Niner is familiar with a doggie door, he barks when there's something to bark at (like the neighbor dog is out, or the doorbell rings) and he will be on your lap the moment you sit down. Niner was found running in and out of traffic on a busy street and it took well over an hour of patience to finally get a slip lead on him. Once he was brought into the house, it was clear he just wanted love. He has the best expressions and his personality is over the top. If he needs attention, he's not above using his human as a springboard. And he can easily jump a couple of feet off the ground straight up. Niner is in a foster home with other dogs that he does well with. We are looking for a home where someone is home a majority of the time and he has other dogs for company.  Please consider making this gorgeous boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at :   Apply Now (almosthomepetrescue.org) $200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates. If transporting out of state, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes December 11, 2024, 7:55 am
