A lap dog that thinks he's a Chihuahua.  At 2.5 years he is 25 lbs and a great couch companion    Buddy's journey to finding a forever home has been filled with twists and turns. Sadly, he was abandoned in a neighborhood when his previous owner had to move to a nursing home. Despite the challenges he faced, Buddy has maintained his gentle spirit and resilient nature.  A few moments of flashbacks and fear can crop up when he's faced with uncertainty, but it quickly disappears when comforted by someone he knows.  This Schnauzer mix boy is housebroken and great on leash walks.  He is a sensitive soul who takes a little time to warm up due to being abandoned. Once you earn his trust, you'll discover him to be fiercely loyal and a loving companion like no other. .Buddy has a special way of becoming your shadow, following you from room to room, eager to be by your side and share in the warmth of companionship.  One of Buddy's endearing qualities is his ability to get along seamlessly with other dogs and cats. His friendly nature makes him an ideal match for a household with furry siblings. We believe Buddy would thrive in a home without young children, but older kids or a calm environment would be the perfect setting for him to blossom.   Buddy is a versatile pup who enjoys the great outdoors as much as he does the comfort of a cozy indoor space. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Solomon is a 9-year-old miniature Schnauzer who was surrendered by his owner as he was unable to care for him anymore.  Solomon is a lot of fun and loves to run around fast in the yard.  He gets along with other dogs and ignores cats.   He sleeps in a dog bed at night and sleeps all night long.   He is potty trained as long as you take him outside often and he loves to bark at squirrels!  Solomon is a sweet boy who would enjoy walks or a fenced yard to run.   NO SMALL KIDS/BABIES Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2024, 1:49 pm

Story
G Man is really what we call "extra needs". As our vet said when G was examined "what a trainwreck". Upon intake, G Man had no fur on his legs and they were covered in sores. He also was having rectal prolapses frequently, not to mention some stinky breath and skin. With some awesome vet care, medicated baths, oral meds and surgery, he has morphed into quite the handsome and quirky guy that he is today. G does require daily meds for his skin (about $35 per month ) and weekly baths with a medicated shampoo. He does experience bouts of constipation but he has meds for that also. G Man is tolerant of other dogs his size, but is terrified of puppies and larger dogs. He is most comfortable sitting/sleeping beside or on top of his human. His whole world will revolve around his person and when he lays his head against your chest and at you with his eyes, you know that you are deeply loved by him!
