Story
(DOB 01/16/2015) Bonnie is an all-around happy girl! Bonnie loves to meet new people and other dogs; she has never met a stranger. Her tail is always wagging another indication of how excited she is to meet you. Bonnie won't only show you she's interested in meeting you, she WILL TELL YOU! Bonnie is vocal and exuberant. Bonnie is a small gal with a lot of love to give!! Another dog to play with is exactly what Bonnie is looking for!! A fenced yard would be an added bonus but not a neccessity.  Bonnie would love to be in a home with an active family where she could be outside a lot. She would really like a 5ft+ solid fenced yard to run. Bonnie is house trained but not a fan of a crate. She is much happier sleeping with her people at night. She doesn't really fancy playing around with toys, and would rather be curled up on the sofa beside you; that makes her very happy. Bonnie would love someone who works from home/home most of the time, so she could be the center of attention. She does have some separation anxiety, so even more reason to take her with you! Plus, when you are out and about, she is good on a leash and well behaved. She will definitely turn a lot of heads, because she is super cute! She does have a bit of a wild side and loves to use her voice when she is excited. She wouldn't be a perfect fit for apartment or condo for these reasons. Bonnie loves to ride in the car and would love to go with you on a trip!  She would make a great camping/hiking buddy as she loves to exercise. She is good with children but will need to be in a home with older children due to size/energy/playfulness. She has already met cats and is actually a "little scared" of those kitty critters. So she should be fine in a cat-savvy home. As part of Bonnie’s $300 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on  vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Bonnie, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1950570##

Story
(05/07/2021) Esco is and adorable little fellow with a heart full of love and a penchant for cuddles. He is an adventurous spirit who loves his walks and would eagerly chase after squirrels, birds, or bunnies if given the chance. For this reason, a home with a securely fenced backyard is a must to keep him safe during his playful pursuits. Always overjoyed to see you come home, Esco is potty trained and has good house manners. He would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he experiences a bit of anxiety when left alone. This charming little guy gets along well with dogs, cats, and children. However, due to his occasional reactivity with people running around, Esco would thrive best in a home with adults or families with older kids who understand his needs. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who will shower you with love and joy, Esco is the perfect pup for you! Come meet him and see if he's the missing piece to your family. As part of Esco’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Esco, you can fill in anonline application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2060648##

Story
I rescued her from a shelter back in 2021. She’s a very loving dog and loves to cuddle and snuggle up to you. However I haven’t been able to give her the time and attention she needs. She is in desperate need of a vet visit. She goes outdoors and always comes back. Never runs away. But due to being an indoor/outdoor dog she has gotten fleas which I’ve struggled to get rid of. This is why I need to rehome her to someone who can provide the care that she needs.
