Story
Meet Scruffy – Your New Best Friend! 🐾❤️If you're looking for a loving, adventurous companion, Scruffy just might be the perfect match! At 2 ½ years old, Scruffy is a playful, affectionate dog with a heart full of love to give. With his shaggy coat and gentle nature, he is the ideal addition to a home looking for a cheerful and sweet pup to join the family.Scruffy’s journey began in a warm and caring Massachusetts home where he was adopted as a puppy. His family has adored him every step of the way, and he’s been showered with love and care. However, with a growing family and the arrival of a new baby, Scruffy has shown he’s not entirely comfortable around a crawling infant. After thoughtful consideration and guidance from professionals, his family made the heart-wrenching decision to find a new home where Scruffy can flourish, surrounded by the environment he loves.Scruffy’s Personality & Preferences: Scruffy is a smart, eager-to-please pup who is well-behaved and knows all the basics – sit, lay down, shake, spin, roll over, and more! He’s also a pro at hugs and even loves to show off his dance moves. His playful energy can shine through, especially on hikes or during water play, but most of the time, he enjoys a good balance of relaxed energy and puppy-like fun. A little more time in the yard or on a trail run is just what he needs to burn off some of his excitement! This charming boy would thrive in a household with a secure, fenced-in yard. He’d love a home with children over 10 years old or a fellow playful dog who can keep up with his active personality. Scruffy enjoys being a little vocal during playtime, but he's also learning the ropes of social interaction and would do best with another dog who can help him grow. What Makes Scruffy Special: ✔️ House-Trained & Well-Behaved – He’s the perfect gentleman inside, with no accidents, destruction or issues!✔️ Loves Kids – Scruffy is fantastic with older children (10+) and is always ready to shower them with affection. ✔️ Dog-Friendly – He’s a social guy who enjoys playing with other dogs and loves having a furry friend to hang out with.✔️ People-Oriented – Scruffy is a people pup through and through. He’s happy to follow you around, offering a tail wag or even helping with chores around the house.✔️ Happy & Friendly – Scruffy’s bubbly personality is contagious, and he’s sure to fill your home with smiles!Things to Know: ⚠️ Takes Time to Warm Up – Scruffy may take a little while to get comfortable with new people, but with patience and tasty treats, he’ll be your best friend in no time.🚫 No Small Animals or Cats – While Scruffy loves his humans and canine pals, he isn’t fond of cats or small animals and may try to chase them.🏞️ Needs a Rural or Country Home – Scruffy thrives in quiet, peaceful environments and would do best as a country or rural dog. He is anxious and vocal when exposed to loud noises like trucks or city commotion, so apartment or city living isn’t a good fit for him.If you’re looking for a dog that’s full of energy, love, and personality, Scruffy is the one! He’s ready for a forever home where he can thrive, run in a safe yard, and share endless cuddles. Could your rural or country home be the perfect fit for Scruffy?
