A total sweetheart with a sunny outlook, Pita loves everyone she meets and greets the world with an open heart and a happy tail. She’s wonderfully well-rounded too. Pita does great with kids, gets along nicely with other dogs, and even coexists peacefully with cats. She’s been through some basic puppy classes and already knows a few commands, giving her a great foundation to keep building on with her future family. Friendly, affectionate, and eager to please, Pita is ready to roll herself right into a forever home where she can keep learning, loving, and being her delightful self. If you’re looking for a dog who fits right in and fills your days with smiles, Pita might be your perfect match. I am 16lbs., and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $550 Meet Axel! He is a small, incredibly charming boy with a big personality to match. This handsome schnauzer/poodle mix is sweet, affectionate, and full of happy energy, always ready to brighten the day of the people around him. On top of that, he’s undeniably cute and knows how to work it.  Axel does have a heart condition called degenerative mitral valve disease, which means he will need to remain on daily medication for the rest of his life. He’s doing well and enjoying life, but his future family should be prepared to continue his medical care and partner with their veterinarian to keep him feeling his best.  Axel would thrive in a home looking for a loving, lively companion and willing to provide the ongoing care he needs. In return, he offers endless affection, joy, and a whole lot of love. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Meet ChewieChewie is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. He came to us after his former family experienced unforeseen and tragic medical complications that made it impossible for them to keep him. While the circumstances were heartbreaking, Chewie has handled the transition with resilience and his trademark enthusiasm for life.This is a fun dog! Chewie has a goofy, quirky personality that keeps people laughing and quickly wins them over. He loves playing fetch, enjoys engaging with his people, and thrives on interaction. He knows basic commands, is both treat- and toy-motivated, and is already housetrained—an excellent foundation for success in a new home.Chewie has been reported to do well with other dogs in his former home, but a meet and greet with potential siblings is required to be sure. He is also accustomed to being around children; however, due to his energy level and love of play, we recommend a home with kids who are not toddlers, as he may unintentionally knock little ones over. He has not been around cats, so we cannot predict how he would do in a home with feline friends.Named after Chewbacca for his delightfully scruffy appearance, Chewie was originally listed as a shepherd mix when he was adopted as a puppy from a different shelter. There is clearly something extra contributing to that fluff—most likely poodle, due to the doodle crisis we are in as a nation. He was sadly left behind when his family moved away, but thanks to a kind-hearted Good Samaritan, Sebastian was rescued and given a second chance at life. Now he’s looking for an active family that will never leave him behind again. Sebastian is full of playful, puppy energy and thrives on companionship—he wants nothing more than to be near his people at all times.
