Story
Hi there, I'm Henry. I'm a gentle and sweet senior dog, and I've been waiting far too long for my forever home. I've got a heart full of love to give, even though I've been overlooked. I'm not much of a lap dog, but I do love being in the same room as you, always wanting to feel your presence nearby. My hearing and vision might not be as sharp as they used to be, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying life to the fullest. I really cherish my peaceful strolls outside, taking in the fresh air and gentle breeze. I'm also great with respectful dogs and cats, so I'd fit right into a multi-pet house hold. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share your space and heart with, I'm your space and heart with, I'm your perfect match. Give me the chance I deserve to enjoy my golden years in a loving home. Apply at bossypawsrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $300.00Est DOB: 02/07/14

Story
A FUN & ACTIVE FRIEND FOR YOU:  Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 22 lbs. & needs to lose a little weight Hello – I’m Howie!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and – it was clear that I had not been well cared for in my previous life for quite a while, and as I was so matted, I needed to be completely shaved.  Boy – do I feel better now!  I was also fed too much and need to lose a bit of weight to be my best!  I’ve started the doggie salt free green bean diet to help with this. I am getting great care while I wait to meet my new family.  Is that you?  Come meet me soon and find out!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I want to be your only dog as I do not want to share my people with other dogs, and I was not nice to a dog in a temp. home! I did meet a couple of dogs at Mostly Mutts and did alright with them as there were no bonded people involved, but I should not live with other dogs. / Cats unknown but I don’t think so since I don’t want to share my people. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so if you have much older kids such as teens, let’s meet.  I am a bit playfully mouthy, and I do take treats roughly at the moment, so best no young kids as I may not want to share my people with little children.       • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a very sweet guy with a friendly demeanor.  I am always happy to see the nice volunteers and I look forward to being playful and active with you.  I can be a bit of a tripping hazard, as I zig zag when I walk, so I should not be walked by someone with mobility issues. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I know the ‘sit’ command and would enjoy learning even more – especially because treats are involved.  In fact, I‘m a bit to grabby with them, so my trainer is working on that with me on that. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like my walks and  regular walks will help me meet my weight loss goals, so … lace up those sneakers and let’s GO! Toys are pretty fun, but I especially love attention and being active with people. I look forward to being a great companion. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I just had a dental cleaning with 3 teeth pulled, so my mouth is fresh again! I am looking for a home where I will be a much-loved member of the family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 4, 2024, 8:01 am
