Story
To know Buddy is to love Buddy! We picked Buddy, a bordercollie poodle (bordoodle), up from a farm in Snohomisn 4 years ago when he was just 8 weeks old. He is the best companion dog and he loves his owners. He is skeptical of new people, but once he knows them he loves them! He just needs an introduction first. Buddy needs a home with a big yard and an owner that is looking for companionship and time for fetch! Buddy passion is life is catching & chasing a tennis ball! We never thought the day would come where we would have to find a new home for our adorable pup. Once we had our son, we realized it was too much to keep up with Buddy’s energetic self. We would love to find buddy a home that he can get the exercise and love he truly deserves. Buddy is one of the smartest dogs you’ll ever come across which has its ups and its downs. He picks up new tricks very easily but also over thinks a little to much. His overthinking has caused his to be reactive and weary of new people.

Story
Animal Profile: Meet Barnaby, one cool Pood who's looking for a new leash on life. Barnaby came into the Caddo Parish shelter with an interesting hairdo...it was more like a hair don't. Poor Barnaby was matted to the skin on the bottom and shaved on top. It looks like someone gave up halfway after months of neglecting his coat. He's an estimated 2-year-old larger boy around 50lbs (we think he is a Sheepadoodle) and this guy is friendly, chill, and testing well with other dogs. He is going to fit in great here in Seattle!  Foster Update: Barnaby is a loving dog, who enjoys spending time with his people. He appears to be a very smart guy, is treat motivated, and has already learned sit and stay. He is generally calm and quite. Barnaby is crate trained and sleeps through the night. He enjoys walks outside and doesn’t pull other than some excitement and barking when he sees squirrels and other dogs. We think Barnaby will benefit from ongoing leash training to help him work on this exuberance. So far Barnaby has been a pleasure to have around!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog is arriving from Caddo Parish Animal Shelter in Shreveport Louisiana via Tail Lights Rescue Project to Seattle area foster care on 10/13/24. He will be available for adoption in the Seattle area. November 8, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
Animal Profile: Daphne, Evie and Pixie were surrendered in San Bernardino when their owner was cited for having too many dogs. They are 1-year-old, 35-40 lb poodle mixes that are friendly with people and other dogs. With those sweet eyes and scruffy faces, we know they’ll get scooped up fast in the PNW! Foster Update: It took a few days, but Pixie is coming out of her shell. She loves running and playing with the resident dogs in her foster home and would prefer to join a family with at least one other dog. She is a little shy when first meeting new people, but she does warm up and show her playful side. Pixie does not travel well in the car yet, but her foster mom is dedicated to working on her fearfulness. As a poodle mix, Pixie is going to need regular grooming to prevent matting, so that should be taken into consideration prior to adoption. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 11/03. No longer accepting applications for Evie as of 11/16 Animal Profile: Daphne, Evie and Pixie were surrendered in San Bernardino when their owner was sited for having too many dogs. They are 1-year-old, 35-45lb poodle mixes that are friendly with people and other dogs. With those sweet eyes and scruffy faces, we know they’ll get scooped up fast in the PNW! Foster Update: Evie weighs a perfect 45lbs. She has settled into foster care quickly, and easily warmed up to her foster mom and dad. She is currently in a an apartment and doing well. She is curious about the world, and loves to go on sniffari adventures. Evie is affectionate and loves a good belly rub. She tolerates bathing, grooming (even tooth brushing!) and general coat maintenance well. Evie is non reactive to other dogs on walks, and could do well with or without a fellow canine companion in her forever home. She is working on her leash manners and will need continued training on basic obedience. Evie sleeps soundly in her crate at night, and is doing great potty training.
