Story
Stella is a 3.5-year-old, 45-pound dog whose life has been shaped by both deep love and repeated loss. None of it her fault. She was first surrendered to ACCT Philly due to seizures, placing her at risk with a time-stamped outcome. From there, she was rescued by Familiar Hearts Animal Society, given the care she needed, and finally adopted into a home of her own. For a while, Stella had what every dog deserves. But after nine months, she was returned. Again because of her seizures. And still, Stella remains exactly who she has always been :: a happy, gentle, deeply loving soul. She has a beautiful balance of energy, content to lounge by your side, yet quick to invite another dog into a playful game. She’s easy on leash, a wonderful walking companion, and adaptable to a variety of homes. Stella is especially tender with other animals, doing well with dogs and even cats, and she lights up around people, particularly children. Stella does have epilepsy, which means she will always experience seizures. Most are brief focal episodes lasting just seconds and don’t seem to interrupt her joy or engagement with life. Less frequently, she may have more significant seizures. She is on medication to help manage them, and her care team continues to learn what her “normal” looks like as her patterns evolve. What’s important to understand is this :: Stella is not a dog waiting to be fixed. She is a dog already living a full, connected, and joyful life. She is looking for a home that can meet her with steadiness and compassion. Someone who isn’t afraid of her diagnosis, but instead sees the extraordinary dog in front of them :: the one who keeps choosing joy, connection, and play, no matter how many times her world has changed. Stella has been let go more than once. She deserves this next home to be the one that holds. Apply to adopt her at https://www.familiarhearts.org/adoption-application. When approved, you can coordinate your meeting with her foster. Kennel License 18972

Story
Her name is Curly! Gee, I wonder why. A 2-year-old, 40-pound Poodle mix, she was found by a good Samaritan who brought her to rescue. She was severely matted at the time, and she’ll need to be groomed periodically. Otherwise? She’s great! A jumper, she’s a sweet, dog friendly girl (although she does not like cats!), who loves to play and absolutely adores her kennel mate. Just terrific! How about it? Wanna take this curly girl home with you? You won’t regret it! (Posted 2/13/26, ME) ' ' Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. Story
Meet Ozzy: part poodle-looking thing, part race horse, part personal space violator.Ozzy is...a lot. And he's hilarious. He trots around like he's about to enter the Kentucky Derby, except the only prize he's interested in winning is your undivided attention. Once he spots a person, he's coming in hot for a hug whether you want him to or not. In short: he just wants to be enthusiastically loved on, he just doesn't always ask for it in the most tactful way.Subtlety is not Ozzy's strong suit. He doesn't ask for attention, he launches himself into it. Personal boundaries? No way. But underneath the chaos and unabashed zest for life is a dog that just wants to go home with patient people that are going to love him and give him the run around play time and enrichment that he needs to be his best self (and preferably while he's being told he's the best boy in the world [which is fact, and not opinion if you ask him.])Ozzy would thrive with someone who appreciates a high-energy, slightly ridiculous shadow who will follow them around, demand scratches and snuggles, and keep life entertaining at all times. If you've been searching for a dog who greets every day like it's the most exciting even in history, Ozzy is ready to gallop straight into your heart. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. SAVE is operating by appointment-only for approved adopters. For more information please call SAVE at 609-309-5214. Primary Color: Black Weight: 50.125 Age: 3yrs 8mths 1wks

Story
Energetic 1.5 year old mini goldendoodle puppy, looking for a home that is open to a great dog with incredible potential. Lincoln/Linc is very loyal, has fun and jumpy energy, and is open to training (house/crate trained, verbal/hand commands, behavioral). We believe he would shine with a single person or couple, with them having experience raising dogs. He would love a home with a yard for his puppy energy (unfortunately we don’t). We also believe he would benefit living with another dog (he’s great with others at dog parks)Linc’s biggest challenge is that he's an anxious and reactive pup, which stems from puppy mill trauma. His main issue is barking to and fear of strangers (anyone not of the household): visitors to home, vets, groomers, etc. He’s made big strides in the last year, but needs more time, attention, and space than what we can offer him.
