Story
Meet Cash, who comes to us from the Guilford County Animal Shelter. Cash is a 1.5-year-old, 56 lb., Standard Poodle. He is the best-behaved dog. Cash is obedient, quiet, housetrained, and chill. He was recently adopted out by us, but she felt he was lonely without a playmate, so he came back to us, and we now know he needs to go to a home with other dog(s). He would also do better in a home with a fenced in yard, as he likes to stretch those legs of his. He walks ok on leash but does pull a bit...which can be easily corrected as he is very smart and quickly trainable. Cash gets along with all dogs, kids, and even cats. He is the sweetest dog with not a mean bone in his body and would make a great addition to any family. If you are interested in meeting him, please reach out to us for an adoption application.

Professor is a really sweet and gentle boy. He was timid when first coming into care, but once he realizes that he is safe, he welcomes human attention. He is great with other dogs and immediately wants to play with them. He is such a very handsome boy and can't wait to find his forever home.   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. Bear is 1 year and 4 months. I got him from a breeder on Puppies.com. I am rehoming him because I take care of him and another dog by myself, it is getting to be overwhelming. Bear has behavioral issues (counter-surfing, using the bathroom indoors, getting in the trash, not listening, etc) I think it would benefit him best to be the only dog (he gets jealous when I pet the other no matter how much time I give him) and to have a backyard or more frequent walks. He is a very big, smart, and goofy doggie who just needs guidance, unfortunately I don’t have the time to train him again (I have boarded him for 2 weeks so he knows basic commands but I can’t get him to listen to me) I have taught him tricks such as shake and high five.

Zephyr is a 7 month old Standard Poodle. He gets along with younger dogs but is rough with older ones. He is more of a people person and would rather hang with the two legged friends. We know our basic commands. Decent on a leash and still working on quiet in the kennel. We are potty trained. I need a new home because I am too rough with the old dog and get way too stressed when the humans leave.
