Story
Blitzen is a beautiful 8-month-old Huskydoodle. HE IS AFRAID OF MEN! He will avoid them if given the opportunity but if he feels cornered by a man (for example, he is being removed from his kennel) he will move as far away as he can and bark and growl. He has not shown any of this behavior while in large crowds in public. He is pretty good on a leash and crate trained. He hasn’t shown any destructive behavior and is super affectionate with all the ladies. Since his aggressive behavior toward men is fear based & he is a young dog, it is very likely that with love, patience and security, Blitzen will learn to trust men the same way he presently trusts womenFOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TNAdoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
Joel loves the outdoors. He loves to roll around in the grass and bathe in the sun. He follows his nose anywhere, usually along a tree line and into tall grass and weeds. Any chance he gets, he'll hop into a river or pond, even in the dead of winter. I'm looking for a new home for Joel where he can spend more time outdoors doing the things he loves—ideally 2+ hours per day to explore. Joel is used to living with other dogs and has done well around young children. He can be hit-or-miss with strange dogs on walks, but he can get comfortable with anyone after some exposure. Cats get him very excited, but he tends to scare them off. His favorite toy is the 13" Multipet Duckworth. He's loved a couple dozen of them to death over the years. Joel isn't trained per se, but he knows his name and can do a few tricks. His DNA test shows that he is: 50% Poodle (Standard) 22.9% Australian Shepherd 13% Boston Terrier 8.2% Beagle 5.9% Cocker Spaniel

Story
Meet Erza! He’s a young pup on the hunt for a wonderful forever family! Ezra is looking for a forever family that is committed to providing love and guidance so he can grow up to be a wonderful, well-behaved dog. Ezra loves to play with toys and give kisses. He especially loves his bully stick treats!  He would love to go to reward based training classes so he can spend time with his new family while working on puppy biting, house training, crate training, playing, and how to be the best puppy he can! Ezra is expected to be a large dog, so please take that into consideration when adopting. If you're ready for a lifelong commitment, please fill out an application and someone from CCRC will be in touch! We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   November 3, 2024, 10:09 pm
