Story
Meet Leroy! He ended up at the shelter as a lost boy on 12/27, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Leroy is now keeping his paws crossed for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. Leroy is in need of a good grooming to feel and look his best. The volunteers have discovered that he knows several commands including sit, lay down, shake, and other paw. He also gives the best hugs! Leroy is approximately 1 year old, and he weighs 60 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Leroy in run 24; his ID # is 7169. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
This shy man is Gatsby. He was on an adventure when spotted and arrived to the shelter on 2/1. Gatsby is 2 years old and weighs in at 50 pounds. He is a beautiful boy with a big heart. He is very laid back. He could really use a spa day with his new best friend. Wouldn't you like to wake up to that face every morning? Ask for ID# 7898 Run 807. He will be neutered and micro-chipped upon adoption. He has tested negative for heart worm. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. Story
Oreo is an approximately 1 year old, 47 lb standard poodle. Oreo loves being around his foster family. He has a curious and playful personality. Oreo loves all humans and thinks that every dog he meets will be his playmate. Oreo likes to be near his humans but is not needy. Oreo loves to be near his foster dog, brothers, and sisters and will cry if separated. He will cry if he is not sleeping near or touching his foster dog brothers and sisters at night. Oreo is not crate-trained. Oreo loves leash walks, playing with his toys, riding in the car, and running in his foster dad’s fenced backyard. Oreo has been trained to walk with a Gentle Leader. Oreo’s foster dad nicknamed him ‘Houdini’ because Oreo is an escape artist. He has crawled under cars and fences. Oreo needs to have toys surrounding him at all times to keep him busy because he is still a puppy. Oreo is being trained to respect his foster family’s home because he is very curious and likes to get into trash cans. Oreo is great with all other animals, including chickens and cats, but can be too playful and scare his foster cat sister. Oreo is a poodle, so that he will require frequent grooming. Oreo is a special boy. At some point in his early life, his tail was broken, and his lower back was injured. Because of this, Oreo will require a very special family who can provide the extra care that Oreo requires. Oreo cannot move, wag, or lift his tail. His broken tail causes his poop sometimes to get stuck. He has been trained to allow his foster dad to help keep his back end clean with wet wipes and frequent washings. Because Oreo’s lower back and sacrum were injured, he came to Orphan Annie with frequent intermittent fecal incontinence. Orphan Annie has provided supplemental care, including chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture. The extra care has reduced his fecal incontinence by at least 90%, and he only has occasional fecal incontinence. He is on a weight management diet to keep his weight under 50 lbs and is also on a joint supplement to help with his back injury. To adopt Oreo, we require a fenced yard and another young, playful dog. His adoption fee is $350, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing. Story
Meet Adreanna - a sweet and shy, 2-3 year old, spayed, Standard Poodle mix. Unfortunately, Adreanna’s life has not been an easy one. She came from a hoarding situation which explains her very quiet demeanor. Adreanna’s fur has also been growing in nicely and after her dental cleaning, her teeth are pearly white.   Since she has been with her foster mom, she has learned many new things including walking up and down stairs and most importantly receiving love. Adreanna follows her foster mom everywhere!   Adreanna would do best in a home with one or two dogs to show her the ropes, but no cats in the home is recommended. She would be amazing with a special needs child as she does not jump and is very calm.   Adreanna is anxiously waiting to meet THE perfect, loving family to call her own. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Ripley is a funny, smart, little sweetheart who loves her people and her dog siblings (she doesn’t pay any attention to the cats). Her favorite time of the day is mealtime (she trots and spins while her food is being prepared); she is very food motivated (especially if you have some cheese or boiled egg). In the house, she prefers to be with her people at all times; if we are sitting down, she likes to be on our laps or lying next to us (getting pets or belly rubs). In the backyard, she shows more independence and will now go out with the big dogs without a human tagging along; she is also very curious and spends a lot of time sniffing and going in and out of the brush or chasing squirrels. We have just recently started to see her initiate play with us and/or the big dogs and engage with her toys. She is still learning about the outside world and so is shy at first around new people and skittish around new sights/sounds. Once she warms up and gets comfortable, especially if a treat or some belly rubs are offered, she is back to her normal self. Anyone who adopts her is going to need to understand that she is still learning about the outside world and is still dealing with being attention/affection starved for the first few years of her life. Ripley will be a wonderful addition to any family!
