Story
Radley was bought through an online craigslist ad. He is 13 weeks old and still a playful attention needing kitty. He’s a huge cuddle bug & his favorite place to sleep is on my chest. He will be a great hunter and an even better companion. I’m being forced to rehome him sadly. He is potty trained. I would love for him to go to a home committed to treating kitty’s with all the love possible !!!

Story
DOB 2022 Casper, is not a friendly ghost. His previous owner surrended him when he was headed off to college.. He is a big gorgeous Siamese mix. He is part tiger and may have been an only kitten or teased a lot when he was young. He needs to learn that hands are not toys. He is going to need an experience owner of onery cats. He easily gets over stimulated. His current foster has his number and understands he needs a few play sessions a day to get that energy out of his system and recognizes when he is DONE being petted. Casper has done okay with younger cats at the fosters' house. Although we think Casper would do best as an only pet. He will need a long acclimation period where he has a space just to chill in. A guest room, office or bathroom. Casper does like to play with his feather toys. He does kind of chase a laser light. He likes to be up high. He is food motivated and LOVES churus. We would NOT recommend Casper be adopted to a home with children. If you have experiece with a cat with purrsonality like Casper, fill out an appllication. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Story
Meet Spider! Spider is a beautiful cat. He got his name because as a kitten, he climbed the walls...literally! He MUST live in a home where he is the only pet. He does NOT like dogs and small children. He is very independent but can be very sweet, but he is not a lap cat.   He loves to be outside and he is a good mouser! We tried to turn him into an indoor only cat as a kitten, but he was miserable. He is kind of an oaf, knocking things over and falling off furniture, etc. It is all part of his charm, though. He loves to make biscuits and drool while being petted. Also, part of his charm! Because he is so independent, he will let you know when he doesn't want to be pet or picked up by hissing.   We have had an issue with Spider occasionally spraying in the house. This never happened before we got 2 dogs a few years ago. There is nothing medically wrong with him. He just does not like dogs and this is why it is important for him to go to a quiet home, without kids or other animals. We want Spider to be loved for who he is and to find a home where he can be independent and not forced to try to be a lap cat.Spider is an indoor/outdoor cat in Stayton and his adoption fee is $50   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 11:26 pm

Story
Yin and Yang are 3-year-old bonded sisters from the same litter. My mom bottle-fed these sweet Lynx Point Siamese kitties as they were born on that crazy 116-degree day and abandoned. They are both fixed, housetrained, very sweet and loving, and love to be petted and handled (love belly rubs too!). As they are bonded, we want the sisters kept together. We would keep these kitties but have 3 already! Both sisters lived indoors for 1 year, then outdoors on a secluded farm for 2 years, and then indoors in Portland since my mom died in early Sept. They can both startle easily, but get along with other cats, and have gotten along with a Golden Retriever. We do not recommend a house with kids as they startle easily and have very sharp kitten claws. Yin is very playful and loves playing with feather-on-a-stick, balls and fake mice. She gets along with cats and loves hanging out atop a cat tower or in a kitty hammock! She snuggles, loves heads pats, being carried, and sleeping together.
