Story
We adopted Mack from Reno, we then moved to Ridgefield WA. We are moving back to Reno, and unfortunately arnt allowed tk bring Mack into the home we are moving into. Mack is a sweet, loving, cuddly 1yr old Male. He will jump from the ground to be in your arms. He purrs instantly when being snuggled, or petted. Mack plays with our 7yr old dauchshund, and is sweet and kind with our 3yr old daughter. When we got him, we were told he is not good with other cats. He will do best in a home that will give him all the attention he seeks.

Story
Salem was found by my sister in the streets of San Antonio, TX. Due to a rental situation, my sister was unable to keep her. We picked her up from TX and drove her to our home in Colorado in May. My spouse and I received job offers in the PDX are so she moved with us here in August. We have 2 cats (11 and 8 yrs old) and she does not know how to interact with them . She has cornered by 11 yr old cat multiple times, leading to 11 yr old cat peeing herself. She may have been raised around dogs because she has a lot of dog mannerisms. She will meow at people at the front window like a dog would. Overall, though, she has a very loving personality. She loves humans and affection. I have slowly accustomed her to receiving hugs and she loves it now. She likes going outside on a lead. She has had a lot of change this year so we are looking for a permanent home so she can relax and know she is safe and loved. We wish it could have been our home.

Story
Hi, I'm Ginger. I'm a shy liitle kitty who would do best in a quiet home with no young kids or active dogs. I will need patience settling in and the ability to go at my pace when it comes to trusting you. Will you take a chance on me and give me the loving home I deserve? If you would like to meet me please go to furryfriendswa.org, click adopt and fill out an application.  ##2504039##

Story
Spike was adopted from the Cat Adoption Team in August 2020 after he was removed from his previous home for unsanitary conditions. He spent the first few months hiding, but when he felt safe, he showed of what a love-bug he is. He is always down for lap sitting and snuggles, he just needs it to be on his terms. Hopefully you don't mind getting drooled on a little because it’s part of how he shows his love. He is a sweet and sensitive soul. Spike’s previous life has left its mark. After 5 years, he still runs to hide when I move unexpectedly and he's shy enough that my friends who cat sit have never actually seen him in person. He has never been anything but gentle with my 4-year-old kiddo but also is generally overwhelmed by her energy. Unfortunately, he seems to have some past trauma with other cats and despite our many efforts, Spike still has a strong fear reaction every time he sees our other cat. He would be much happier in a quieter home where he could be an only pet.

Story
I lovingly call her my princess—it perfectly fits her personality. She’s delicate, sweet, and affectionate, yet very particular about when and how she wants attention. When she’s in the mood, she adores cuddles, pets, and scratches, but she does not like being picked up. She sometimes gives gentle “love bites,” which are harmless little nips and part of her way of showing affection. She is a shy girl and will hide from strangers. Despite this, she is not a flight risk at all—you could leave the front door open and she would never run out. At most, she might peek outside out of curiosity.  She does experience separation anxiety when left alone for long periods. Please do not lock her alone in a room, as she may scratch at the carpet by the door (this doesn’t happen often, but it has in the past). Because of this, she must have plenty of carpet-style scratching posts available. She tolerates other pets but does not get along with them and would do best as the only pet in the home. I’m unsure how she would do around children, but it’s unlikely she would be comfortable with them. My strong recommendation is that she be placed in a quiet home—ideally with an elderly person or couple—where she can be the only pet and receive consistent companionship and affection.  Princess Luna currently travels with me and "sees the world" via a window or windshield bed.  She will be happy to be more "grounded" in a traditional home.  Luna is indoor only and her rehoming fee is $25.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2025, 12:07 pm
